fortunately his bat single-handedly provided the dodgers the division title and best record in baseball.
Remember me bitching about Dave pulling our stars in the 6th inning when we were down fourish runs over the last few years? Then this year he actually let starters play til the end more often and we came back in some games during the regular season despite having low win expectancie? I take it to mean Dave reads this thread and takes my input very seriously. Can't wait for him to detour during the parade and stop by my place to drop off my ring!
I am sick and kept falling asleep during the game and decided I had to go to bed. When I went to bed they were down 5-0. Just finished watching the game, my sleep schedule is now completely fucked but I will take credit for the W for the rally nap
I want max fried. Not burnes. What an attention seeking loser.* *I reserve the right to rescind that insult
Tickets for the Stadium celebration go on sale at noon, for any interested. I considered it but have decided against it. I am curious about television coverage, though. Who will carry it, solely on SNLA?
when the nuggets won the title and had a parade, every local channel covered it. plus there will be live streams online I am sure, plus SNLA
yeah no interest in Burnes, especially at the price tag it'll take would prefer they add an arm through trade and then a veteran through FA. They need someone they can reasonably count on for 170 IP given Glasnow has 0 track record of durability and Yamamoto you still have to be somewhat cautious with next year
I welcome Burnes and Fried and Soto and keeping Teo Rotation: Yamamoto Walker Burnes Shohei Fried bonus: May Batting order Ohtani Soto Freeman Mookie Teo Muncy Edman Smith Lux utiltiy: Kike Special advisor to Dave Roberts: Chris Taylor
play Edman at 2B, go trade for or sign a full time SS, keep Kike as swiss army knife, trade Lux, Chris Taylor as the most expensive pinch runner in the game
I'd look at adding someone like a Nate Eovaldi that would be a playoff proven arm they could slot into the middle of the rotation without having to commit too many years in the process. See if STL would maybe trade Sonny Gray, they are basically a .500 team and do you really need to hold on to a guy in his mid 30s with 2 years left at all costs?
would just prefer Tommy stay an everyday position player and I think he has more value at 2B than anywhere else in the lineup. We got lucky with Rojas having the best year of his entire career at age 35 but SS is just too important of a position to not have locked down everyday
Gavin’s sac fly to tie it was gigantic. If he strikes out there that’s really deflating. He was also playing through a pretty significant hip injury coming off an ACL injury.
ZiPS has him projected as basically a 1 win player each over the next 3 years. Could he outplay those projections? Absolutely. But he’s gonna be 27 and I just think there’s better options out there than hoping his health can hold up enough to let him go up another level
