Got an alpha key today for Lost Ark. I watched some Koreans as well as Americans stream it in Korean a few years ago and it looks so good. People are raving about it. Pumped to try it. I think it’s going to have a massive following because it’s not just an ARPG but an MMOARPG. The endgame is polished, expansive, and incredible. Can’t wait for official release. Anyone else playing?
man I had this on my radar a while back and forgot. What’s the process of getting a key? Is it US now or do you still need a VPN?
It’s dropping in the US in December. Totally voice enabled. The devs said it took so long because the VA was the equivalent to longer than all the LotR books combined. I got alpha by watching DatModz stream for 15 min with a linked twitch account. You can also sign up on their website. There will be another alpha test sometime later in the summer and I think it drops in December. All the guys playing it now say that playing it without the latency disparity is incredible. It’s the best feeling game out there in the ARPG realm by far. I feel like this is the first legit contender at taking away a solid amount of WoW veterans since there are 4, 8, 16, and larger man raids for endgame.
DatModz streamed it Saturday for 2 hours. He and a few more were chosen. He had like 600 hours in the Korean version. There is an NDA for it not to be streamed however the full game is available. This alpha test lasts until the 17th. Modz thinks a lot of it is server maintaining of players so they may be handing out more and more keys as the week progresses.
There will be multiple more alphas regardless, one next month. With two days left, it might make sense to just wait unless you’re gung-ho
