Is it inconceivable to think he's learned things since Ole Miss? Also, it would appear Kiffin has been an asset to Bama. Saban is still the best coach in football but he's getting older and eventually you slow down. He could always another OC, though.

I think he'll have a good shot to convince Aranda to stay. Texas defense is a major project, and LSU already has the pieces there. Whether or not he's a good hire will come down to his staff decisions though. Knowing Jimbo/Herman aren't options I think this is a pretty good hire. He obviously feels confident Kiffin will come, and he can change their offensive philosophy which they need most

I think Kiffin has been phenomenal at Bama. I also don't think he'll leave to go to LSU. If he does though, we'll plug in Sark and be fine.
I wouldn't be surprised if Houston hires Kiffin as HC. He will get another HC job at some point over the next 2 seasons imo, and I don't think he would leave for anything less.

I think it's pretty clear he's comfortable where he is and he's going to be very selective with his next move. He and O are really close, but working with your best friends in highly stressful, emotional professions is a bad idea more often than not.
