Saw it again today. In a theater of about 10 people. Guy 3 rows in front of us said "Fuck YEAH!" every time Doof Warrior came on screen.
Saw it today, really liked it a lot 8.5/10. It's basically what an action movie should be. Glad it's so well received so we can hopefully move away from this Michael Bay tier shit that gets made. I will say the CGI at the very beginning was really horrible. Not sure what that was about but after the whole swinging from the hook it was gone. Really really loved the environment and the small details they thought of for each car, character, weapon, armor, etc.
Last 20 minutes or so I was more on-the-edge-of-my-seat than I can remember in a long time at the theater
Spoiler Saw it yesterday. It was good, but I think it's been a little overhyped by this point. I don't want to say I was let down, because I wasn't. Really enjoyed it. But I wish they started off with some building of backstory for Max or something. It was full throttle from the get go, which was fun, but made the lull in the middle where they find out the green place doesn't exists seem like it was really dragging on. And I know I had read a bunch of stuff saying people were not happy with Theron/a lead female role, but I loved her in it, thought she did an excellent job. Was way more invested/interested in Furiosa than Max himself. Which I suppose was the point of the movie. I haven't watched the originals since I was a kid, so I don't remember much about the setting/universe, so a little setup would have been appreciated. Especially since I'd imagine their plan is to create a franchise. In addition to all that, the cgi was a little goofy in some parts for me, as was the obvious fast-forwarding of some parts. I did like how they incorporated the sounds of the engines and such into the score of the movie, although I felt like the engine noise was a little two much once or twice. But it's an action film so what did I expect, idk. ANYWAYS, I'm just rambling. 7/10
There really isn't much backstory with Max other than his wife and child were killed. It's a common misconception that he's the main character when in reality he's dragged into others' stories.
I like the lack of back story. We don't need every character to be fully explained. They developed Max as they went and thats whats important. The fact that we knew he was running from the past/struggling to cope with it was enough for me.
was the little girl actually his daughter? i thought she kept calling him Max not that it matters really
i saw this movie. i enjoyed it. i am preparing to be a pyro infused guitarist on a battle rig in the post apocalyptic future and am settling to be a drummer on said rig as my safe school
I was expecting the guy from the end of Mad Max to still be alive and be a villain in Fury Road. I never saw Thunderdome, so maybe he was discussed in that one.
The consensus was that they slightly changed the backstory, I would assume to make the female angle more effective but it's irrelevant honestly.

Saw it earlier this week. Opening scene had me on the edge of my seat, can't remember the last time i felt something so intense from a movie
Finally got away from the family and saw this movie. Loved it. Movie could have sucked if they didn't have really great actors in the lead roles.
There's a pretty damn good cam torrance out right now. Watched it earlier and the quality might have been like VHS, but it worked.
I think I'm the last to see this movie....finally got a chance to go to it with my wife....absolutely incredible from start to finish. Exceeded all expectations.
