In the Bears defense there’s no doubt they would have ruined Mahomes by now and he wouldn’t be half the player he is today.....carry on.
Defenses evolve to defend the pass. Mahomes passed the ball 580 times last year. Montana averaged 383 per season. Pat reached the milestone in 1/10 of the games with only a 50% increase in attempts. The data isn’t really disputable.
Don’t want to send douche chills but I don’t know if I’ve ever seen anybody, at least in the NFL, where I’m like “I’m probably watching somebody who’s going to be considered an all-time great” this soon. Not he’s going to be elite and if he stays healthy, has longevity, and racks up the accolades then who knows. Bold statement I know, and I’m not even a chiefs fan.
Another cool starry bra: Flew out of Jax last weekend with a bunch of departing KC fans and saw a pretty dope design on a shirt that said “KC is MaHomes” A red version of this
I knew Pat was gonna be really good when the Chiefs drafted him and was probably a little extreme on the homerism. Even I didn't see all this coming. Really a perfect storm of an elite arm, elite play design and a General Manager that doesn't give a fuck about draft picks or cap space to field an all class receiver set.
If you want to start a Dan Marino thread you can. I’m sure a lot of ppl will post in it. This thread is about a good quarterback
As evidenced by my posting history, I was a mahomes fan much longer than most. I know talent when I see it
Just can't get enough Mahomes..... Police: 2 stole life-sized cutout of QB Mahomes, crashed car Associated Press 1:31 PM, Sep 19, 2019 LAWRENCE, Kan. — Two suspects are being penalized after they allegedly stole a life-sized cutout of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, then crashed their getaway car. Lawrence police spokesman Patrick Compton says a man and woman grabbed the cutout at a McDonald's restaurant Monday, ran out the door, then jumped into a car and sped away. Officers investigating a nearby two-car accident saw the cutout in one of the vehicles. Compton said the vehicle also matched the description of the car that drove away from the McDonald's. The Lawrence Journal-World first reported the two were issued notices to appear for theft and were cited in the accident. One person was treated for minor injuries. The cutout of the popular Chiefs quarterback wasn't damaged and is back on display at the McDonald's.
Troy has a better TV voice than Pat. No matter what happens he'll always have that over him. Of course Pat's gonna make so much more $$$ over the course of his career that he won't have to work after he retires.
And since Pat will be playing flag football for the majority of his career he has a great chance to keep quite a few of his brain cells.
