Couldn't find a thread for this show but it's really damn good. A very weird concept for a show but once you understand it then it's incredible. For anyone who hasn't seen it but plans to start then I definitely recommend watching from season 1 or else you'll be quite confused. Season 2 just started tonight and it was one of the best episodes yet. First season was good but I really think they will find their stride with this second one. Stars Jay Baruchel and Eric Andre and comes on FX every Wednesday night at 9:30 Central.
Season 1. I think I've only got the finale left to watch, then on to season 2. Can't decide which one is my favorite yet. I really liked the jealousy one with Tanaka the Octopus Penis Monster, and also the one where he gets in an official relationship then immediately has everyone wanting to sleep with him
i watch it i think its great i think i started the old thread but it must have got zapped in the crash
I've really enjoyed the two woman seeking man episodes. Not as much as the man seeking woman stuff, but it's a good change of pace every now and then.
Just came across this interview. Fucking hilarious. You can tell they went in thinking "Alright, a FOX News interview. Let's have some fun."
Laughed way louder than I should have when they interrupted the movie with breaking news "An asteroid is headed towards earth and will destroy the planet in exactly 7 minutes."
Since the season finale was last night, I'll go on record and say that season two was an improvement over season one as a whole. I know this show gets super low ratings since it's on FXX (I think everything else does as well) but I'd love to see a third season. If not, the final montage of the dancing "Ultra Josh" and "Ultra Mike" robots will be a good enough ending for me.
one of my favorite parts of the show is the random "woman seeking man" episode, primarily the opening credits. hell, the opening credits are one of my all time favorites.
The show got picked up for a third season. Good news. http://splitsider.com/2016/04/fxx-renews-simon-richs-man-seeking-woman-for-a-third-season/
Is no one watching this show? It really is one of the best shows on TV IYAM. Woof woof cowabunga thanks for the blowjob
The previews make it look painfully unfunny but I'm going to give it a shot based on this thread. I'd imagine a lot of people aren't starting it for similar reasons.
I can see that. And it's a very unique show IMO. You definitely have to like a little weirdness and hyperbole to love the show but if you do then it's truly excellent. And each episode focuses on a different aspect of dating which keeps it pretty fresh. As you can tell, I'm a big fan. Jay Baruschel and Eric Andre are great together and like Codename Duchess said they added a recurring girlfriend who adds a lot to the show as well.
It is a surrealistic show. If you surrealism you'll love the show but if you don't you won't. It is based on The Last Girlfriend of Earth
Not sure if anyone is still watching this but you should be. This season has been fantastic and tonight's asking the parents for permission to have anal was hilarious
totally missed that season 3 started. watched the first two episodes, Eric Andre as the cult leader was too good. They cast the girlfriend well
Randomly came across an episode about his gf meeting Indiana Jones and found it surprisingly funny. I'll probably give it a shot now
Watch this every week and like others have said it has been great this season. One of my favorite shows at the moment.
This week's episode was about Josh and Lucy getting married. His mom and step-dad go all in on it and are shown riding around in a Voltzwagen van going to wedding planning events like they're following the Grateful Dead. And Josh's sister Liz reconnects with their actual dad after she makes partner at her law firm. Good stuff.
Only the good die young. Meanwhile CBS is rolling out a pilot for a new show featuring any one of Adam Sandler's buddies from the 1985-1995 span of SNL.
I'll end up buying the box set/edownloading this series. I'm glad we got three seasons of this series.
damn, i felt they were just hitting their stride too. Would've been interesting to see where they took Season 4 (honeymoon, married life, in-laws, etc.)
I honestly thought people were watching this show. It really was a well done show top to bottom IYAM. And unique if nothing else which is what television desperately needs.
