It's funny how all over the place soccer reporters are. Today there have been reports that Alvarez was offered on loan to Marseille and also reports City were definitely not loaning Alvarez out and plan on him in the squad next year.
Know Pep uses mostly 4-3-3, but he also tries a lot of different things. Wonder if Jesus and Sterling leave we see some 4-4-2 next year, either with a diamond midfield with KDB up top, Rodri at cdm and Foden and Bernardo on edges, or in tighter games more traditional with Gundo and Rodri playing CM. I
I'd guess they are waiting the Jesus transfer to be official before announcing him fully so it's not disrespectful he's holding up a jersey with a current squad members number on it
That's pretty cool to do the same day. Wonder if they just give him 9 or wait to announce his number. I mean it's pretty clear Jesus is gone this summer. Although I could easily see him taking 15 too
BTW that city extra have a live stream set for 10 am (5 am eastern time) and apparently that's the time of the announcement
My wife and I were debating going to game at Lambeau and then she had other obligations come up. Literally invited like 5-6 other people to come and everyone is busy that weekend, so finally said fuck it and spent more than I planned on and bought one ticket and am going to the game solo sitting front row behind Man City bench.
Dealing with some shit so won’t be going but this is the perfect summer to see them with WC delayed until winter. If I could go, wish they’d be going to a better location but not bad to make a long weekend of it in Chicago and hit Green Bay just for Gameday
I live on Lake Michigan on Michigan side so I'm going to take the ferry across lake Michigan and drive up from Milwaukee to GB (about 5 hour drive/ferry ride). Figured unless they played in Chicago or at the Big House in Michigan sometime, this is probably the closest I'll be to a City game and couldn't pass it up. Will also probably be Haaland 1st or 2nd appearance in a City jersey so should be fun. Also since I'm going solo I got a ticket that's something I'll never get a chance at again either. Front row behind bench at face value because it was a solo ticket straggler (stubhub resale on same tickets $500 more than I paid). More than I'd ever spent on a ticket, but going solo now when plan originally was wife and kid too so kind of talked myself into it since it's not much more than I planned on spending on all 3 of us
Losing Raheem, Jesus and Silva this offseason would not be ideal. Would probably require that they get another midfielder/attacker on top or the rumored Phillips move. Especially with Zinchenko rumored on way out as well who possibly could have played some midfield too. I guess thats unless they've decided guys like Palmer and McAtee ready to be in the squad rotation
PSG has also entered the Phillips race so that is definitely not a certainty Could go from what seemed a fairly quiet summer to a very interesting one. Sounds good on Cucurella though if Zinchenko does go
Really interested in potential tweaks to the formation next season. Wonder if he plays some 2 striker formation like a 4-4-2 or even a 4-2-3-1 with Phillips/Gundo playing back with Rodri and De Bruyne as a 10. I've read Alvarez can play out wide but is really a striker
Rumor mill going nuts today although nothing seems to be from super reliable sources. Barca and Bernardo rumors as we as Zinchenko rumors popping back up today. Also rumors popping back up city is selling all these players to fund a move for Neymar...
Saw the Neymar rumors yesterday. Not from anything reliable though but fuck that. That would be a terrible move
Looks like the neymar stuff is coming from someone at the blue moon forums. Just some poster who apparently has posted prior transfers ahead of time. He's claiming Neymar is coming. So it's just some anonymous poster and random guys on twitter
I love KDB. Just saw forecast for GB Saturday is 90 with scattered thunderstorms...damn sounds like I'm in for a shitty weather day
Kalvin Phillips is on at CB. Also apparently Haaland is in street clothes, so hopefully he's playing Saturday
Think ref is scared of the fans there because easily could be 2 pens and a red on fouls on him and no pens given and only a yellow
Raz left some big shoes to fill but Jack looks up to it with his finishing and how easily he goes to ground
Yeah he’s got promise as a ST. When he got promoted to first team I think I sent every City fan I know YouTube clips of Rory throws
