The highest rated team we played in Europe this season is Lyon in 42nd, but Amorim's results (especially against ETH's 3 draws, leaving us in 21st place after his final EL match) are crazy against the league results. 8W-2D-0L Spurs at 33rd (at most recent ranking) will be toughest. Will see if Amorim can pull the rabbit out of the hat again in a single leg final. Early odds have us the betting favorite.
So who starts in the final? —————-Hojlund ————Mount—Bruno Shaw—Ugarte—Casemiro—Amad ——Yoro—Maguire—Mazraoui —————-Onana
Would rather have Garnacho running at tired legs. Shaw or Dorgu was the only one I really had to think about. Could see Bruno and Amad as the 10s if Dalot is fit. Mazraoui has to be RCB imo. Can’t let Lindelof anywhere near the starting 11. He was dreadful today. So was Maguire for that matter.
Athletic says the cash valuation for CL on the line is 100m GBP/132m USD. Thats 1/3 of the wage bill for 1 year OTOH
It's pretty much the difference between accelerating the rebuild by 1-2 years. Team still wont be good next year, but at least they can be competent with that money.
Not worth getting worked up over these games all that matters is Europa. Is Yoro actually hurt? All we need is no injure for fucks sake and Amad to get some minutes
I know it's a one game season at the point, but man it's just not great confidence building to see the team look like pure trash in the EPL every single week.
It wasn't transfermarkt but it was one of the other big sites that came up when I googled. It was their current season ranking obv not uefa coefficient.
It's like private equity when they take over a business, leverage it to the hilt and quickly (or slowly in this case) drain the assets of all value and eventually dump it when it's no longer worth keeping.
All started from a lazy giveaway from Bruno in the midfield, zero pressure on the cross and no one dealt with the cross. Also, DDG keeps that out.
Fucking mix up the set pieces. Every single one can’t be kick it long to Maguire and hope he can head it back across.
