Our biggest issue was shitting the bed against inferior opponents. Now that’s not happening. Feels good. And it’s not inconceivable that we win the rest of the matches in the premier league, we aren’t going against that good of a competition. Leicester will be the toughest.

Watched the extended highlights and sheesh what a showing. Mason is the new Rashford and we still have Rashford. Bruno might be our best signing in years. Also a fully healthy midfield is so sick. Bruno, Pogba, Matic, and then McTominay coming off the bench.
Good to see the contract extension for Matic. I imagine it's to hedge on depth until they acquire another midfielder, but hope by 2022 he's playing the Mata role. Love his recent form, but you can't forget how off he was last year.

Of small note, for our next 3 games, we play after Chelsea/Leicester 5 of 6 times. Hopefully Liverpool doesn't shut down and roll out a reserve team on Matchday 37 when they host Chelsea.
I think the tamest teams on the path would be Copenhagen Olympiacos and Rangers in the finals, but I would realistically expect Inter or Leverkusen. one game elimination in empty stadiums will be weird, and quite hostile places like Ukraine or Turkey that carry a significant home advantage have been removed from the equation. Thankfully we have both paths still open for CL next year.

I don't know about Lovren and Matips injuries and timelines, but man there are pretty much only 90 minutes played by anyone outside of them + the 4 starters in the league, and all of those minutes (Williams) came since the restart. Also, Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliot (blegh) are on the cusp of a winners medal, surely they'll get what is needed.
