Gomes wouldn't get any minutes vacated by Alexis. Greenwood is going to get plenty of minutes regardless. Get rid of Alexis and that leaves Martial and Rashford as our only true forwards with any real experience against top level competition. Alexis is necessary depth imo.

You can do that in the winter window or next summer without hamstringing the club. We are extremely thin across the front 6 and any injury to a regular starter would be devastating as it is.

I think OGS is all in on the youth movement and feels what we lose in depth is made up by not having him around the locker room.

Honestly forgot that clubs can still sign free agents after the transfer window closes. Llorente or Sturridge (injury history is a concern) wouldn't be terrible options. I would take Ribery for a season if he wasn't a left wing.
All I could think is how much I hate watching Pogba take penalties. The dancing and stuttering and then he takes one straight up a la Rashford and it’s fucking saved. Lingard needs to grow the fuck up and get sharp.
