Glen Murray is so goddamned annoying He’ll be an awesome Sunday league player for the rest of his life tho
What Mourinho didn’t get is that while Marcus is extremely fast, the reason he’s an out and out forward and not a winger is that his right foot is magic. Dead balls, crosses, shaping for shots etc. you have to have someone like that in the final third at all times
Can't find the tweet now but it summed up this and what it means for Rom perfectly. We can all but forget about Lukaku at this point. He will get a few starts here and there but he's nothing more than a late game sub at this point. Rashford is doing things that Lukaku just isn't physically capable of or talented enough to do..
Every single player except Phil Jones has been better under OGS, but I don’t think Lionel Jesse gets enough notice. The new academy triangle with pog and Marcus has given him a totally new lease. Hasn’t been getting in on the the goals but he’s been tidy and threatening
Scoreline flattered Brighton. That was a complete repudiation of Mourinho given our recent matches against them.
Pretty nervy finish. 3 points is 3 points tho. Only took 6 matches for OGS to match Mourinho's longest PL winning streak.
I’m sure it was much easier to get them to sign, Martial is in the works and de Gea wants a boat load
who knows who knows, maybe we will get lucky and there is something to mctominay. maybe the next carrick.
In the right side, I think so. Mourinho preferred him so much because he was a puppy dog willing to do whatever the manager said because he'd get rewarded with minutes. Would hope there's more to him than a square to a fullback
Ogden is so respected for how much he knows about the club and what a pragmatic thinker he is, but he really doesn't hold back on Mourinho in this piece and I think he absolutely nails it: http://www.espn.com/soccer/club/man...s-out-of-touch-and-out-of-a-job-at-man-united
@N8NathanPatrick Go to that Twitter account and read his recently posted thread... you ManU types will love it (I thought it was awesome) Edit: User visa did a better job posting it in the lighthearted chums thread... I’ll be excused now
Giggs and Keane would be the best duo for scoring, no on 1 because didn’t RvN have issues with Crissy and no on 3 because Pogba is a twat
Big Sam has come out and said due to his style of play and international duty Rashford won’t be in the league past 25
#Manchester United if Solskjaer gets top four with wins over Chelsea and Arsenal in the league is that enough to satisfy you with him being made permanent? Or does he need to win FA or go a certain distance in UCL? Or what does he have to do to force the hand of the board?
It would be hard to fight against it but even if he got top 4 still want Poch. We are a big club and are we really going to rely on Ole to get us back to prominence? We did beat Tottenham but they outclassed us second half and it wasn’t close. Poch still the better manager.
they managed an entire 3 more shots on goal than our boys and our boys still hand chances in the 2nd half. Lloris had to play a nice match for it to only be 1-0. And I'm not sure you outclass anyone if you get clean sheeted when your being opposed by the likes of
De Gea needed 11 saves in the 2nd half alone to get that clean sheet. It was even through the 1st half, maybe we were a little better, but Spurs were ripping us apart in the 2nd. Unless Woody grows some serious balls, I think Ole stays if we get top 4. There will be so much pressure from the fans and key figures from within and outside the club. I even saw a few reports that players were pushing for him to get the job a week or so ago. The allure of Poch is that he builds clubs. His teams get better every year, players improve under him, he gives youth a chance, and he does it all with the same style of play that United should always have. I think Woodward still wants Poch as of right now but, as a I've said a couple times in this thread already, he has essentially backed himself into a corner and it's probably Ole's job to lose at this point.
