Jose is a double edge sword. I'm not sure comfortable with him as manager will ever really be a thing. Due to the past we'll always fear the "third year" nonsense. With that said I think he’s our best option and I’m very curious and optimistic to see what a fourth year.
We are in 7th place. Halfway to our loss total from all of last season. Needed a 3 goal comeback to beat Newcastle. Needed a stoppage time winner to beat Bournemouth. Juve should have won that game by 3-4 goals. We don't start matches particularly well and we still look on the verge of collapse after conceding. Yesterday was awesome but optimistic is still nowhere near working its way back into my vocabulary. Big fan of troll Jose tho. Keep that up.
Everything you said is fair and valid but In September all all these were loses and hell probably last year too. Optimistic may not be the right word but I'm happy he is no longer beating in his head against the wall and seems to be trying different options up front(maybe I'm reading that wrong and maybe its because Lukaku is "injured"). I fear what happens when Martial, Mata or Pogba do something stupid.
Midfield is going to get ripped apart. Fellaini and Matic are too static to play together against a team that passes and moves like city.
well... not a bad ending to the half. could’ve been worse but settled in. we are a second half team anyways these past few weeks
Back down to 8th now. Only need to concede 7 more goals to match our total from all of last season. You guys still back on Team Jose?
Game went as I expected. Just not enough quality throughout the team to consistently keep city at bay. This is vintage Jose and as long as he is the coach we will be inconsistent and timid playing attractive football.
Except now we leak goals like it's our job too. His entire managerial philosophy is built around solid, consistent defense and we can't even do that anymore.
If yesterday weren’t bad enough Martial and Pogba are too nicked to go for Les Bleuis and to top it off Young and Valencia are being offered contract extensions.
Only three players have scored in more than five consecutive Premier League games for Manchester United. Ruud van Nistelrooy holds the record as he netted in 10 successive games across the end of the 2002/03 season and the start of the 2003/04 season. The streak ended when he failed to score against Wolves at Old Trafford on August 27. Van Nistelrooy also went on an eight-game scoring streak in 2001/02 and a six-game scoring streak from the end of 2004/05 and start of the 2005/06 season. The other two players to have scored in six consecutive Premier League matches for Manchester United are Eric Cantona and Cristiano Ronaldo. Cantona's six-game run helped United pip Newcastle to the title in 1995/96 while Ronaldo's streak was crucial as United beat Chelsea to the title in 2007/08. Along with Martial, the other players to score in five Premier League games in a row for United are Dwight Yorke, Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney (twice).
Didn't watch and don't care. For every Juventus there will be a Man City and Crystal Palace. It's all a sham until Jose is gone.
Also there was a report this morning that Mourinho's buyout is significantly reduced if we fail to make the top 4. So it looks like the richest club in the world is literally willing to sacrifice Champions League to save a few dollars. Everything always comes down to money for the Glazers.
am I wrong or has he been coming into his on lately? Hopefully but doubtfully this pushes Bailey out of the doghouse. Makes no sense that Lindelof and Bailey where the first two at the back for the open and don't think Bailey has been in a PL game since. Won't not making UCL cost more in the long run?
You guys think sacking Mourinho is suddenly going to make you better than Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs or Arsenal?
You’re literally discussing keeping mourinho vs finishing in the top 4. I hope you understand how that means you believe you would become better than two of the previously mentioned clubs if you sack mourinho.
If you want to be a technical dick, we still weren’t discussing it, Husk was simply mentioning part of Mourinho’s contract
Another match, another goalless 1st half. Rashford is good at doing everything right up until he needs to make the right final decision. Young Boys fans have been awesome and have provided all of the atmosphere. United fans, yikes.
Fred been our best midfielder today by far and gets taken off while Matic and Fellaini stay on to continue doing absolutely nothing of substance. Fuck off, Jose.
