Saw a screenshot of an article claiming McKenna and Carrick are allowed to run training and setup in 352 and run training that way then Ole and Phelan on game day revert back to 4231…..and McKenna and Carrick are lost why they run training. And sadly that seems far too believable given what we see on pitch
Even if that isn't completely true, I'd imagine something similar is happening. They probably aren't fully practicing what they actually run on match day.

I didn't get to watch fully, but I think we started in a 5-3-2 and then switched to a 4-3-3, before ending in a 4-2-4, with Ronaldo, Cavani, Sancho and Greenwood on at the same time.
