Because he wasn’t being retained by Mullen and had no other job offers.

THATS ANOTHER UCF FIRST DOWN -
Entire offensive staff plus the SC coach clipped by Diaz
InsideTheU has learned that Diaz told Todd Hartley, Ron Dugans, Stacy Searels, Jon Richt and Thomas Brown on Monday that he's moving in a different direction. A source said Diaz also parted ways with head strength coach Gus Fedler
Dugans going to right to tally I’d guess
Why would this be bad as an OC?
definitely hire him it will totally work out and be great
get himself a nice gig on Willie Simmons' staff most likely
Believe they are connected by blood
Don't think it would, unless fedora has the type of personality that would undermine a young hc due to his own experience
Fedora seems like hes more likely to undermine himself
Hopefully Miami does the right thing and let's any signees out of their loi
Lol @ maybe hiring Fedora. I was scared to death Willie was gonna end up doing it.
larry is both incompetent and overwhelmingly arrogant. it would be such a fun hire for the coastal please make it happen, manny
Didn't he used to have good offenses? One of those guys that just fell off?
As a HC, he’ll fucking no, but I can’t see how this would be a bad hire at OC
Have you guys seen North Carolina’s offense the past few years? How would it be bad??
Lmao my god
also he will 100% do this
Lets check these UNC offensive stats compared to the rest of the leasgue
11/14 in PPG
9/14 in passing yards
9/14 in rushing yards
Fedora like most is pretty good with a good QB. He forgot to recruit one for a while though and that’s why he’s unemployed
Would think forgetting to recruit a QB for awhile would be a major red flag for an OC candidate...
That would not be a good thing moving forward. Feel like you’d be able to find QBs to fit that system a lot easier in S FL than the pro style kids we’ve been going after for 15 years
he is mainly unemployed bc he declined to hire an actual OC when littrell left for north texas. he then arrogantly declined our AD’s offer of more money for one last off season after going 3-9. he’s arrogant and incompetent but i am sure he’ll change everything working under a first time head coach and won’t undermine him
IDK about sofla but certainly the south
Think Larry would be fine as an OC somewhere, although the ego thing would worry me. He'll have his tendencies that piss you off, but that's really the case with mostly any coordinator you hire. Will say though that Miami's qb situation isn't exactly the best one to walk into, and Fedora's last two years wouldn't give me a ton of confidence in his ability to coach questionable talent up.
If I’m getting Fedora circa Williams sign me up. Otherwise I’ll pass
quise was so good and then followed by the #2 overall pick with everyone else returning and we regressed big time. that should have set off every alarm in the book for people thinking larry is good or even average
He was a pretty good OC at Florida with Chris Leak back in the day. Of course that was back when the spread was the new innovative offense in college football.
#Miami Hurricanes what coaches on offense that were fired actually decent?
This is classic gubbs
I’m happy with Diaz, but not calling Cristobal or Dino is irritating
Lol none. Dugans was previously but his unit was terrible this year.
Hartley started following taggart and fsu on Twitter apparently. Was curious
He's a good recruiter and decent TE coach, but he's such a terrible ST coach he was as culpable as the Richts for how terrible Mia was
He also got his ass handed to him in recruiting this cycle
He’s the reason Miami has record decommitments?
Also Dugan's is everything you could ever ask for from a wr coach as long as you don't make catching the ball a priority for your wrs.
