Good, go get Briles and keep the same system that tvd thrived in last yr plus Grundie won’t know what to do with himself
https://www.the-mainboard.com/index.php?search/6744603/&q=Briles&o=date&c[node]=4&c[user][0]=4314 Debating which one is the most hilarious now that he’s team Briles
the idea that Mario wants his offense to resemble a B1G squad and that he is stuck in 2010 on offense doesn’t jive with the names we’ve heard for OC and what people inside the program are saying. He recognizes what system the kids in FL all play in, what’s been proven to work here the last 2 years, and what he currently has in the QB room I mean if we had Anthony Brown level talent at QB I’d be less excited for sure for how he’d want things to look
those are between me and Grundie who told me Miami would never win another game when FSU got Briles couldn’t let him forget
If I had to bet my life on it though I’d say it’s up to Dorsey to decide if he wants to stay in the NFL and pursue an OC job there or come home if the Brady talks are truly dead
He likes listening to Bill Simmons and Malcolm Gladwell talk at each other for an hour so I don't think this is true
both. They were friends while students at Miami. Feldman walked on at Miami for a minute. How he knew Ed Orgeron too.
By all accounts after it ended in Indy he was ready to go full blown retirement mode. Makes sense to come work in an off-field role with your buddy and live down there. Former NFL HC and OC on support staff instead of 23 yr old GAs from DIII what a difference 2 months makes
I get all that you’re saying and sounds good on paper. But have you ever hired for an entry level position someone that used to be a CEO? I’d seriously question the guys motivation and how in he’ll be with such limited power.
He's been in an off field role with BC for 2 years, why wouldn't that work here? Bama has done this with several former coaches. This isn't unusual
Apparently has zero desire to be on field anymore and will be making good money given expanded support staff budget
Yeah. Why was he at Boston college and stuck in that role? The Bama thing is overrated to begin with, because Bama. You have to build a lot more foundation before off field people matter. But it works because they do their thing for a year, get promoted and leave. They’re motivated to grow; Locks, Kiffin, Sark all went on to get head coaching jobs. According to you guys, this guy just wants petty cash to burn at BTs. The Bama guys also have Saban who has the resume to keep everyone in line. Maybe it works for you; Chud resume just reads weird like I’m not fully committed to getting my work done.
I didn’t want to bring it up, but sure we did. It didn’t really do anything for us but have good fan fiction back in July. Shannon’s role was allegedly intro to SoFla which he crashed at. I don’t know what Chud is supposed to do; help Cristobal with game day coaching?
because he doesn't want to coach on field anymore but still likes to get involved with game day planning/scouting. weird thing to get hung up on here
I mean- it’s Boston college. Why would I brush off that he went to a bottom tier P5 school of all places?
ITT we try to dunk on Mario for having his DL coach target get a job as a DC and for hiring an old buddy as an off field analyst. Ok then…
