bruce probably has a framed copy of that contract hanging up in his office
Stoops and Gran could easily lock up the Coastal. No idea why you wouldn't want them.
I don’t want to be the tallest midget
Yeah stoops is good
Didn't Babers just re-up with Cuse? Not that that would be prohibitive, just seems like he's comfortable staying there.
Butch back at the U?!
It’s gonna be Eddie Gran.
I disagree with this. I think he would have fared worse back when there was less enforcement by the NCAA and scrutiny by the media so programs like Nebraska and OU could have criminals in their backfields and no one would blink an eye. He had an outstanding career but refused to sell his soul enough to lock down all the talent that comes out of GA. Had he done that, he would have probably played for a national title
He locked down almost all of the Georgia guys we wanted. Deshaun cost him more than anything though.
its amazing what purifying one's self in the waters of Lake Sabantonka does to a Coaching Candidate
I don’t think it was necessarily talent acquisition that held him back, so I’m not really talking about NCAA scrutiny. I’m more taking about Richt’s inattention to detail and priorities. I think Saban/Meyer and others brought an absolute laser focus and unflinching dedication to win that Richt is just not wired to match. He’s not going to spend 20 hours per day watching film and recruiting, and he isn’t going to make his assistants do the same. I think that’s required to be elite in today’s game, and it wasn’t in prior eras.
Can someone cut through the innuendo going on about GA recruiting please. Just bagmen galore or what?
USA Today article from a few months ago says it’s $5.2

Naw it’s 10, oregon’s AD made it high after Taggart snaked out.
lol ok Dodd
Dodd is the fucking worst
Stoops would be best hire.....hope they ignore him
Wonder if he could get Coley on staff?
He wouldn't need him hed take Gran
And then recruiting Sofla would be turned on its butthole
If he brought Gran I can fuk with Stoops. He runs a better version of Diaz’s D so that would be a nice transition
Coley sucks ass without the bagman
He pushed big time for K-State (his alma mater) and wasn’t even considered, doubt Miami looks at him
Stoops would be the Dan Mullen-to-UF hire
He’s doing well with the bags now
I agree. Either way, he should be a free agent after the bowl game.
Guy is one of the best DB evaluators in the game
Stoops’ offenses are just so bad.
4 coaches in 4 years has to be a record, right? #ScoDucks
This is true
That’s such a weird take from Dodd because no one talks more shit about miami’s program than him
What is it after 2/1?
So...a good hire?
Seems pretty steep. Good for oregon for getting it structured that way
So since he’s retiring...his salary off the books for Miami?
Yes but one that many would call “lazy”
It goes down $2M every year he stays. I’m sure we will hash out a new contract with all this and keep that buyout high.
Morons I tell ya
You wanna see a lazy hire look up top
Think Arkansas State did that with Gus, Freeze, and 2 more. Who even knows how many Pitt burned through in 4 years with Haywood and Graham both combining to last about one calendar year
I'd rather see Dino at Oregon.
I can't tell if people are joking about Stoops
