Through 8 eps of DD and already at least 3 fight scenes that are better than anything on tv. I know the hallway fight is getting all the love and rightfully so but the first fight around the shipping containers is fucking awesome as well. Stunt guys and choreographers more than earned their pay checks on this show.
And I'd urge you to not seek out anything more about AOU. I'm actually kinda mad that they released the vision as a lot of non-comic book people would be really surprised.
That Ant-Man trailer looks pretty good. I was expecting this movie to be the black sheep where Marvel falls on it's face, but maybe not.
Ant-Man is a puzzling film for me. The trailers look pretty good, but it really seems like Marvel is treating it like a one off they just want to go away. It's essentially stuck between Phase 2 and Phase 3, and Feige only talks about it as an afterthought. He certainly doesn't talk about the character like the other new ones being woven into the overrall arc of Phase 3 (Strange, Black Panther, Spider-Man, Captain Marvel, etc.).
From Feige: It’s not [an after thought]. The truth is the phases mean a lot to me and some people but…Civil War is the start of Phase Three. It just is. And Ant-Man is a different kind of culmination of Phase Two because it very much is in the MCU. You meet new characters and you learn about Hank Pym and his lineage with the MCU over the years. But at the same time, it also picks up the thread of Age of Ultron in terms of heroes – major heroes, Avengers – coming from unexpected places. Whether it’s prison in the case of Scott Lang or being a very disgruntled Sokovian Twins as Wanda and Pietro are in Age of Ultron. And in that way it connects a lot. Also, Hank Pym’s attitude towards Avengers, towards S.H.I.E.L.D, and kind of the cinematic universe in general, is much more informed after the events of Age of Ultron, and in a certain way, before the events of Civil War.
Cory Stoll was great in House of Cards...looks perfect as the villain and always love Evageline Lilly! definitely more excited to see it after this trailer
Which one was that? Loved all the fight scenes, and the final fight between Kingpin and Daredevil was an awesome finish.
Reports are coming in that Nicole Perlman and Meg LeFauve are nearing a deal to pen the Captain Marvel movie. Though they haven't actually worked together before, THR reckon the duo were teamed up after their separate ideas for a big-screen take on the Marvel Comics character impressed the studio's head honcho, Kevin Feige. No other details were provided, though The Wrap adds that Marvel are currently seeking a female director. Perlman worked on the initial draft of Guardians Of The Galaxy and is also currently writing the Gamora comic for Marvel. LeFauve co-wrote Pixar's upcoming Inside Out, and also penned The Dangerous Lives of Alter Boys.
I suppose it's a little late, but all the Avengers are on Kimmel right now. They've been showing clips all show long, and they case is about to square off in a "Family Feud" game.
The May back story and tie in with Skye was great, but dammit why did they have to bring in more questions with Theta project. At least the Coulson, Hunter, and Fitz group should be fun.
I feel like they did a great job stringing everything together. The ep showed a connection between Skye, May, and family. They also managed to integrate trust between all the other characters amid the shakeup. I am really enjoying how lines of loyalty are beginning to blur as more is being revealed about Coulson's activities behind the scenes.
@mally_lee: @VancityReynolds I'm curious, have you named your katanas? @vancityreynolds: The Katanas are named Bea and Arthur. Bea is a dedicated performer and a joy to work with. Arthur's grumpy-wumpy.
One of the best AoS shows yet. Answered so many questions and yet brought up even more. I loved the last scene, "is there an electric hand dryer?" LOL
fwiw, the thing that unlocked Coulson's memories in season one was called the Theta Brain-Wave Frequency Machine. not sure if at all related.
If true, this will be one time where I'm glad that the MCU doesn't have to follow the comic script - was not a fan of that series. Spoiler Avengers Arena was better, but mostly because they killed off most of the Avengers Academy kids. Maybe it's just a move by the MCU to "claim" as many b-list characters as possible?
Fwiw I think "something to do with Ultron" also makes sense, that movie is less than 2 weeks away and the full court press from Marvel is on now.
I missed the Kimmel Avengers episode but saw that Clark Gregg was on, via skype or something. Any mention of whether the movies will acknowledge his non-death?
With how fast the pace AoS is moving at now, I think we'll find out by next episode what "theta protocol" means, they seemed to have learned from their season 1 "its a magical place" for the entire season mistake that its better to resolve cliffhangers fast and keep things moving along.
Given how the last Captain America movie was worked in AOS, it would be weird if Ultron wasn't, in some way.
http://www.toplessrobot.com/2015/04...-hulk_mockingbird_wonder_man_spider_woman.php 8 suggested Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D spinoff. I personally like 4. Damage Control Created by the late Dwayne McDuffie, in the Marvel Universe, Damage Control are the people you call to clean up the gigantic messes left behind when superheroes and supervillains start brawling and tearing apart the city. They're kind of the blue-collar workers in a crazy world where gods throw buildings at each other and just expect someone else to do the clean up. In the first season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., we actually saw the group do clean-up duty after the events ofThor: The Dark World, and I kept thinking that's Damage Control's job, not S.H.I.E.L.D.'s. This could be a pretty fun, humorous show, about what it's like to be a real Joe Schmoe in the Marvel universe. Even funnier if all the major Marvel heroes were just off-camera at all times, so we always hear about Iron Man or Cap, but just never see them - just their messes they leave behind.
at Wilson Fisk's mom in Daredevil. Spoiler not like his dad didn't deserve but the cold blooded "get the saw"
