I haven't spent a dime on the game and am enjoying it. I have a hard and fast rule against microtransactions, as I don't want to enable the behavior. I mostly just had to accept I'm not going to get to some elite rank or something. There are definitely some P2W elements but it's not as if you get completely ragdolled as F2P player.
what's the game like? I used to play MCOC all the time but then it got boring unless I wanted to pay.
It's a collectible card game similar to Hearthstone or Magic: The Gathering. Hasn't really been my thing in the past but a couple of my friends are really into it and got me hooked. You're basically playing 2-3 minute "battles" with other players, which makes it super easy to either pick it up for a couple minutes at a time or get sucked down a rabbit hole and play for hours.
I started it a couple weeks ago. I’ve spent too much time on MCOC over the past decade that I can’t get sucked into a different mobile game.
Did a small volunteer thing with Cobie Smulders and her children. Happy to report, she and her kids were very cool.
Okay, I'll play: Guardians 3 Spider-Verse 2 Quantumania Secret Invasion Marvels I've left the TV shows out as I don't have Disney+.
If the first is any indication, Spiderverse is the one I’ll most rewatch but I’m equally excited for all 3 of the movies. I will neither confirm nor deny if my interest in GOTG3 is because I have a thing for the High Priestess.
Spiderverse top and Kraven bottom if they count. For the true MCU. 1. Quantumania 2. GotG 3 3. Loki 4. Agatha 5. Secret Invasion 6. Ironheart 7. Marvels 8. Echo
I'm completely disinterested in Agatha. But I guess that's how it is now. Marvel is putting out so much a lot of it isn't going to appeal to me.
Good, especially with the hand they were dealt. Could of been an all timer with Chadwick. Namor is the truth.
That they did a great job dealing with Chadwick’s absence and that Letitia Wright is not a lead character.
i just watched it for the first time and was not a fan. the movie had a lot going on (mourning boseman, introducing a new power+god, resolving the new black panther stuff) but i thought it was a slog.
This really can’t be understated. Chadwick grooming the next BP, leading his people against Namor, and navigating all the political stuff would have been great. Literally every scene would have been improved, as opposed to Letitia being the lead. As a result, the “lead” ended up being the weakest on-screen role.
I believe there were stories that a Chadwick movie would focus on him coming to terms with the country moving on for 5 years while he had been blipped, and his role as king now that he was back.
I thought handing out mech/super suits like candy was a bit lame. Overall a meh movie. The beach scene and reveal was great
Finally got around to watching it, on Disney + I didn’t enjoy the first 1/3 but thought it was solid after that. Was Namor like insanely overpowered like that in the comics? Looking forward to seeing Namor and Talokan show up against Kang in the finale a la Endgame
