I don't know who any of those people are
Hope it is not the paper towns guy. Timothee Chalamet was good in Homeland.
Same, and I'm going to assume they're all British too
Asa or Nat
fuck those other brats
That was fun. That's all I'll say until next week.
Lord & Miller are doing an animated Spider-Man movie.
Thought Dylan O'Brien was being considered? Really liked that casting.
Cast any of them and I am routing for Spidey to die in Civil War. I hate that they've become obsessed with making it the teenage Spidey versus a 20 something Spidey. The better storylines come from the older Spidey, not some bitch ass millennial Spidey.
The bottom right picture look like Frankie Muniz was fucked by a whitewalker from Game of Thrones and that little shit is the offspring.
Bottom left looks like the offspring of Matt Damon and Ben Affleck.
Pretty sure he was the main character in the Way Way Back
The what now?
The Way Way Back
Its a pretty good movie
Good ratings I see but the synopsis does nothing to sell me......
Duncan (Liam James) is an awkward teen who must spend the summer at a beach house with his mother (Toni Collette), her boyfriend, Trent (Steve Carell), and Trent's obnoxious daughter. Trent can't resist badgering Duncan, so the youth steals away to a water park and gets a job that will help him stay off Trent's radar. As Duncan tends to the slides and pools of the aging park, he finds a father figure in wisecracking park manager Owen (Sam Rockwell) at a time when he desperately needs one.
Sam Rockwell steals the movie. Liam James didnt really impress me too much.
The biggest problem I have with selecting someone under the age of 30 to play a teenage Spidey is that most of the best up and coming actors that I could imagine as Spidey are already cast in other superhero roles:
Michael B. Jordan - Already Johnny Storm
John Boyega - Already in Star Wars
I think they'd have to go even younger and probably an unknown...
Maybe Bobb'e J. Thompson (the kid from Role Models) if you wanted to go with a more comedic Spidey. He'd have to get skinnier, though.
Probably in the minority, but Grant Gustin could do it.
He doesn't look anything like Spidey.
I was trying to go with a Miles Morales reference in my post.
I'm gonna guess that Grant Gustin has a non-compete part to his contract with DC.
Was he just in The Librarians?
If not, the Spiderman contract likely would have one.
Edited my post when I reread your post.
I read "smart kid" instead of "smart-assed kid"
Have my tickets for next Thursday's Avengers/AOU back-to-back double feature.
Miles teller is mr fantastic. He's a great actor though.
would swoon for days if teen heart throb zac efron became spiderman
Almost did that too but decided against it. I'll just watch a few this week in the lead up.
That teaser for AOU lied. That movie was not dark.
Just in case you can't wait. Can't speak for the sound quality, but for a first Cam upload the video quality is decent.
Never been a fan of bootlegs.
Me either, but well when they release it overseas first they are sort of asking for it. I'm not going to download it because I want to support the small local theater, but on principle I can't blame people who do when it is released in another country first.
Bootlegs of big CGI heavy flicks is fucking absurd.
I don't give a shit about supporting small or local theaters either. I want a spectacle when I see a movie like this not some low quality knock off.
Has anyone else been annoyed by all of the bitching joss whedon has been doing lately?
What has he been saying?
Just every time he talks it's bitching about something
-regrets bring coulson back
-Edgar wrights any man script was amazing, and we'll never get to see it
-calling Jurassic world sexist (maybe it is but why does he need to weigh in)
-everything in the marvel comics "wouldn't work" or "shouldn't be done"
just general bitching.
He seems burned out. I'm ok with him bailing for infinity war at this point
Why wouldn't they have Edgar Wright's script and use it without him?
it's been pretty easy for me to not notice anything about him so not he is not bothering me.
even if he was more noticeable I can't see why I would ever have a problem with a creative person being passionate about their work and other work in their field.
Yeah, saw him as a passing headline on like Yahoo News, or something, but that's about it.
I'm fine with being passionate, he's just been really negative about things. Idk it might just be me
I think Joss said doing Ultron was a real struggle. Lots of sleepless nights. He made pennies doing Avengers 1 (made more money with the Dr Horrible web series) so he agreed to the sequel for a big pay increase. I thinks he's burned out on the politics of marvel movies, having to keep things within the tight little window to fit in the larger framework, etc. He wants to do something else.
At the same time he's said he'd love to do Batman and Star Wars, and those are part of their own shared universes now, so who knows.
Joss bitched about bringing Coulson back when his brother is the fucking showrunner.
Well Joss was the guy who killed him. He wrote it.
No shame in looking back and thinking "wish I hadn't done that."
Regardless, Cox then went on to reveal when the second season of Daredevil will start shooting and how he believes the return of the show will impact plans for the other solo series' and The Defenders. "We’ll begin shooting in the second half of the year. It’ll be the same timeline as the last show, so season two will come out about this time next year. Again, I’m imagining all this, but there’ll probably do Iron Fist or Luke Cage at the same time, followed by the other one [of the two] in the first half of 2016 and then maybe Defenders in the second half of 2016 or the beginning of 2017." Rumour has it that Daredevil and his fellow street level heroes will appear inAvengers: Infinity War, so the next few years are looking very busy indeed for Charlie Cox...
That after Credits scene was fake right?
Just got back from an AOU advanced screening. Movie had a lot more comedic moments than I expected. Definitely lived up to the hype. Feeling pretty important that I got to see it a week early.
