Probably the biggest news while TMB was down was that Deadpool will be Rated R, can probably thank the Kingsman success for this.
We were coloring Easter eggs the other night and putting our family members names on each egg. Wife asks my 3 year old who's name should be next. He says Deadpool.
Both of the last two AoSs were great. Can't wait until next Tuesday. Skye is awesome and Jemma took the first step towards winning me back. Spoiler Also glad that Deathlok is back and I think that Bobbi will turn back as well. I don't like the Grant Ward plot that I see coming, though.
Daredevil gets released on Friday, re-created the thread on the TV board: http://www.the-mainboard.com/index.php?threads/marvels-daredevil-on-netflix.120340/#post-3328134
I've actually managed to not watch any footage of Age since the very first trailer was leaked. I'm fucking excited to go see it.
Cannot wait for DD. My favorite B-character. I've stayed spoiler free but I've heard reviews are through the roof.
Love these brief bios on Thor, Ulysses Klau, and Baron Strucker in AoU Spoiler THOR (CHRIS HEMSWORTH) The Asgardian God of Thunder returns as Earth’s sworn protector. More brash and powerful than ever, Thor serves as the moral compass for the team and continues his personal quest to find the identity of his brother’s secret ally while also warning his teammates of threats that are bigger than any of them imagine. ULYSSES KLAUE (ANDY SERKIS) He is a black-market arms dealer, smuggler and gangster operating out of South Africa. He is a former acquaintance of Tony Stark’s from his weapons-dealing days and a powerful new player in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. BARON STRUCKER (THOMAS KRETSCHMANN) He is a brilliant HYDRA scientist who worked under the cover of S.H.I.E.L.D. for far too long. Human experimentation, advanced robotics and artificial intelligence are just a few of the things Strucker is working on when Wanda and Pietro Maximoff volunteer for his program.
She had scars all over her face that weren't there in the pre-Whitehall episodes, so I guess we're supposed to assume another inhuman put her back together.
Yeah, there'll still be a traditional mid-credits scene, just no Shawarma or Bucky scene at the very end for some who might get confused.
there was a interview somewhere with a couple of the actors that revealed that plot Spoiler Cal found Skye's mom after she was butchered by Whitehall and "stitched" her back together to allow her healing powers to revive her, they split up because she was mad at Cal for losing Skye (parents lose a child in a tragedy and blames each other and split type of deal), so Cal's been searching for Skye all these years hoping to get their family back together. Earlier this year he said something to Skye along the lines of "we'll be all reunited in the 'Afterlife', kind of a subtle hint at the Inhuman colony they're at now.
Watching AOS without your guys analysis wasn't as much fun. Although the episode last week kicked ass. This week was a little slow, but hopefully it is just building towards something. I want to see what the other shield's ulterior motive is.
Posted this in the temp TMB, but I guess some of you somehow haven't seen how much ass the test footage they made for Deadpool kicks. I am 100% certain they are going to knock it out of the park. LOVE the fact they are obviously 100% embracing how Deadpool is really unique in how his character breaks the fourth wall constantly.
They were re-filming that scene the other day in Vancouver, shut down a bridge. The original Deadpool script is out on the internet from a few years back. I read the first part of it and if they follow that script or make minimal changes, it's going to be unbelievably good.
I really admire Reynolds for his obvious devotion to the Deadpool character, and his absolute resolve the film would be true to that character if it ever got made. "Fuck you, Slater" kills me every time, and simultaneously shows you the film will take the perfect tone and not have Deadpool shy away from directly engaging the audience with "real world" references.
Marvel is developing a AoS spinoff which pretty much guarantees a S3 for AoS http://www.ew.com/article/2015/04/09/shield-spinoff
I thought that at first but we have 4 more years before the Inhumans movie. At one point, I thought a Deathlok spinoff, but his character isn't that likable. What about a Mockingbird and Hawkeye spinoff?
Next season is too optimistic, best case is mid-season if it all. Could they get Jeremy Renner to do a weekly TV show?
I don't see why not. Is he really that big a star that he wouldn't do it? You really think he's that big that he wouldn't star in a TV show, even a mid-season deal like Hayley Atwell did?
my knowledge on the subject is limited I will admit, but how would S.W.O.R.D. and S.H.I.E.L.D both operating at the same time make any sense?
Some other potential plots for a spin-off: Inhumans in Space - outside world gets too close, they move Afterlife to the dark side of the moon. Inhumans on Earth - Terrigin mists released on earth, random people become Inhuman (ministories everywhere, each week a different new Inhuman) Agent Carter 2 or Howling Commandos show Either way, the current show has about 3 times as many characters as we can follow.
I'm pretty sure a terrigen bomb going off is going to be the season 2 AOS finale so season 3 can set up the entire season for the powered people registering/not registering in preparation for Civil War next year.
He's a super hero and in control of a Bourne franchise. He's not huge but he's big enough that he's not doing a small time project on network tv. Maybe a short run on premium cable
Gotcha. I stopped watching the Bourne movies at #3, I think, so I didn't know he was the new Bourne. The only role I knew him from was "most likely Avenger to get written off for being kinda boring". Spoiler Also, I don't really like his character in the comics, which is really how I base all of my decisions wrt the movies.
