It was more than just toxic misogyny. There were just some mediocre offerings that didn't look interesting.
It always made sense for them to quit throwing content out left and right. People finally got tired of the quantity over quality thing, even if they loved all Marvel stuff
I agree with you but not all the way. I think that has played a factor but lord some of the most recent movies have been just awful. The last Thor was maybe one of the worst movies in the MCU in my eyes. The last Guardians was so so as well.
The most recent Thor was actually my breaking point. I just quit after that. Deadpool and Wolverine is the first one I've watched since. Actually forgot about Guardians which I liked.
Since Endgame what does this actually apply to though? Deadpool and Wolverine clearly. But if you watched WandaVision (which everyone did) you aren’t missing out on anything actually.
Guardians was good. Thor was bad. Ant Man was mid. Marvels was fine. I was completely burnt out after those though. They definitely needed a full reset
The last Thor was a huge disappointment. It should have been a tent pole but Taika was too busy having 3 ways to care about it. That was a shame.
Shit even with Star Wars Disney tried to milk it too hard I haven’t even bothered to watch the Acolyte because of the same burnout I had with Marvel
I've liked four of five of them. Skipped a couple, and thought a couple were bad. So, just like any other TV medium.
Iger has said they’re slowing down the amount of content across the board because Chapek and other studios went completely idiotic over trying to catch Netflix
Yeah sorry didn’t think that saying they were putting out entirely too much content to where it burnt people out was controversial
I don’t care that they brought RDJ back as long as the movie doesn’t suck fwiw but it was definitely about $
It’s not. You clearly aren’t the only one. Having to pay for a subscription service and go to the movies is pretty lame to keep up with a story imo.
This line from the fandom is always so funny to me. These aren’t Indy art house films. Nobody who has the authority to greenlight $200 million tent poles is doing so for a labor of love.
FTR, my comment was just a response to the douchey way you said you "couldn't be bothered" to watch stuff.
They also did that show Citadel on Amazon. I think it was the most expensive season of tv ever made and it got middling viewership and reviews.
I agree with you but there were people wondering if it was about $ or not. Of course it was. It’s Disney
I really didn’t mean it in a shitty way. I just watched the first few shows and the last couple of movies weren’t the same quality, so I didn’t even watch the last couple. I told myself I would eventually but just haven’t. If someone could direct me to the best 2 or so shows out of the last 5 to watch first I would appreciate it
Sigh…. Loki 1&2 are king WandaVision Werewolf By Night Moon Knight Ms Marvel Fat Dubs Hawkeye She Husk
Idk if I could like Hawkeye after all the weird shit about Renner has come out Glad he didn’t die though
Also everything rdj said post endgame was he was ready to call the superhero era quits. Shocked he did a u turn
