I should have watched that instead of our game tonight, would have been an exponentially more enjoyable experience
Forgot about Homecoming. I was more thinking just anything that's come out since Avengers 2, but then thought Avengers 1 introduces Thanos and Winter Soldier is just an incredible movie, so I threw those in as well. Honestly though nexus , Guardians 1, Civil War, and Ragnarok would probably be sufficient for preparing someone for Avengers 3. But you're cheating yourself if you skip out on Winter Soldier.
Eh, homecoming is very much its own contained story. Civil War more or less introduces peter well enough, while avengers 2 introduces Scarlet witch and vision, and has thor explaining infinity stones and thanos’ plan without knowing it. Gotg 2 if for no other reason than you become more familiar with the more off the wall characters and IMO it’s one of the best regardless of phases.
Strongly disagree. How are you going to understand Peter’s relationship with Tony without watching Homecoming?
I’m not overly concerned with that one single character relationship in this giant film. I don’t even imagine it being brought up. Besides, civil war kind of sets up the mentor and somewhat father figure relationship.
I mean if youre a spider-man fan then by all means check it out but it’s far from a priority to pregame IW for me
So you don’t think Peter possibly losing what in essence is his father has any importance in the upcoming movies? His five minute cameo at the airport is going to drive that home?
any idea when Black Panther will hit On Demand? if it will be before IW? I haven't been able to get to the movies to see it, but I obviously need to see it before IW comes out.
But I think what you’re asking is yes, IW will definitely still be in theater when BP comes out on Blu ray
I'm more worried about being caught in the middle where IW is coming out and and I have no way to see BP, whether in theaters or at home. I don't think I can afford to wait as long to see IW as I have BP without seeing some major spoilers.
I’d check to see if there’s a second run theater near you. The prices are typically cheap and they usually get the movie a couple months after the primary theatrical release date.

Is there a reason people aren't picking Black Widow and or Hawkeye to die? Those seems pretty obvious to me
As others have said BW has a solo movie in the works, although it could be a look into her past, and people aren’t picking Hawkeye because we’re not monsters.
Seems like Black Widow is already kind of replacing Fury on some level as the leader. That takes on more significance if Cap and/or Tony are gone. Would be surprised if she died.
I’m bracing for strong death scenes. Just give them good send offs. Stay the fuck away from Thor, though.
Think Thor is safe with how well Ragnarok did and with Hemsworth saying he's down to keep playing Thor .
Iron Man - must see Cap 1 - must see Thor - should see Avengers - must see Cap 2 - must see Avengers 2 - should see GOTG - must see Civil War - must see Dr Strange - should see GOTG 2 - should see Spider-Man - should see Black Panther - should see edit: If you just need the quick and dirty Avengers 1 Cap 2 GOTG Civil War You'll be a little confused about the finer points of the characters and some plotting but you'll pick up the rest in context
Thanks. Have seen most of those but still need to watch Ultron, and newest 2. I seriously dislike almost everything with Capt. America (Civil War was fucking awful) so maybe the giant crossover films aren't for me.
It’s gonna be awful if they kill off a bunch of characters and then just bring them all back in Avengers 4 by Deus Ex Infinity Stones.
Interesting take. The 3 Cap movies are considered some of the best MCU movies by critical consensus. Any particular reason why you dislike them?
Civil War and the new spider man movie are the only ones I need to see. Saw about 20 mins of the start of civil war.
I don't think the success of Ragnarok has anything to do with Thor living or dying. They were done shooting this before that movie came out.
