“I love you 3000.”
Gets me every time. Every. Fucking. Time.
This was good, for anyone that didn’t check it out afterward.
Skip forward to just before 14:00 for the final product
If any of you guys are near these locations next week Marvel is having special events at Best Buy for the Blu-ray release
Do the snap, but instead of turning the dust, everyone melts like the Ark of the Covenant was just opened
Anthony Russo is going to be at the one here in Cleveland? That’s awesome.
Oh god damn. #BuckyKnew
Also team Captain Sam. I will LEGIT fight you in ANY grocery store parking lot if you disagree.
I remember going to see Iron Man in 2007 on a double date. Driving home I told everyone “I was talking to my brother and he was saying if this movie is a hit they’re planning on doing Thor and Hulk and Captain America then the Avengers over the next 4 years.” My friends now wife scuffed, “there’s no way they’re planning movies that far out.” They’re still married, she’s still a bitch.
Watching the Endgame featurettes. First one, Stan Lee, ultimate icon. Second one, Tony Stark, the beginning and ending of the MCU so far. Third one, Captain America, who Feige says is “the backbone of the MCU.” So I ask you Marvel Thread. After Stan who is more important? Cap or Tony?
It’s Cap. 3000 times over its Cap.
There’s been 20+ MCU movies and I’ve yet to get a Hemsworth v Evans arm wrestling scene. That’s shit.
I amazed that you had such connections to see it 1 year before it actually released. Must’ve been tough to watch with all the pre-production work not finished.
HEY! I’m watching all the Endgame Featurettes and they def put 07 as the date, I’d assume their memory is better than mine.
Watching this scene after seeing this, my heart couldn’t take it. I love Cap+Buck+Sam 3000.
MCU’s got me too emotional right now. Gotta put on the “Spider-kid” AKA “Miles” AKA “Coolest Spider-man.”
Bucky cap is better and he was just repeating the lines, he didn't know.
My philosophy was “I mean yeah they’re gonna do an [insert character here] movie, but c’mon it’s not like it’ll be any good”
Phase 1 had a lot of duds in between IM1 and Avengers 1
Phase 2 might have had worse duds, the machine didn't really get rolling until after Age of Ultron.
Phase 1 was still mind blowing compared to previous efforts in the genre
All a matter of perspective in the moment, I suppose
IM1 and Avengers were groundbreaking good, Thor 1 and Cap 1 while good to okay still felt cookie cutter like the standard superhero movie and Hulk was basically a paint by numbers superhero movie that stood out only in how bland it was.
Don't you put Cap 1 in the same category as Thor 1
Cap 1 introduced to the best character in the MCU so you can go fuck yourself
It was a good movie but basically a standard superhero origin story.
Happy Hogan was introduced in IM1
Dr. Abraham Erskine is good, and Stanley Tucci really does bring him to life....but the best character in the MCU? Hardly
They are bringing her back for the last season of Agents of SHIELD.
The Russo’s showed up and changed the entire game
Yes I know
Dump is obviously referring to Dum Dum Dugan
I know. Thor 1 is clearly better.
Phase 2 had Winter Soldier and GotG before AoU. One could argue those are the two best movies in the entire MCU and not be wrong (I wouldn't say that, but they're certainly in the conversation).
Yea but Phase 2 had the complete tragedies of Thor 2 and Iron Man 3
I was in Los Angeles for work this week. Flew out and watched Endgame. So good.
Flew back on a red eye last night, watched Endgame again. Y’all, I started tearing up when Tony died. Wtf. As I’m drinking vodka club sodas.
They should have kept that deleted scene of the rest of the Avengers kneeling in front of Tony as he died in the movie. Tony Stark, and mores specifically RDJ deserved to be put on that pedestal for what he did for both the on screen world and the MCU as a whole.
Russos said in the AMA they removed it because it felt redundant with the funeral, which they liked better.
I thought Cap 1 was whatever first time I watched. LOVED it after a rewatch, and as time went on
I saw that and it was cringe worthy.
The kneeling just comes out of no where and doesn’t flow well with the ending of the film. And yes, having them kneel, then a big funeral is too much.
“Cap it’s Sam, can you hear me?”
“On your left...”
Wakanda is here to fight
“We’re on it Cap...”
