Seems ripe for a hero to step in and try to keep the peace in some city, only to turn bad when everyone snaps back.
I think Thanos just needed to rethink his power. Why KILL half of everyone when you can just snap half of the universe to a carbon copy of this one. Now everyone gets to live and everyone gets the benefit of an uncrowded system.
gf hasnt been able to see it yet. somehow has avoided all spoilers. she knew back when i saw it that iron man died but nothing else. found out last week when i mentioned the dvd release that she has forgotten the spoiler. pretty excited to rewatch it and her see it the first time
Did we ever figure out why Miles has his mom’s last name? Is that something that the entire ultimate universe does?
I believe it can still be custom in Hispanic cultures to not take husband’s last name I’m sure others can speak more accurately to this though.
Per the comic I thought it was that Miles dad was a low level hero/vigilante and didn't marry the mom right away to keep them safe. But I could be wrong
From a quick googling pearl and Wu responses are the most common. But one cool thing I saw that I didn’t know. In Gwen’s universe Miles’ dad is the Scorpion. Also his name is Jefferson Davis which is....odd.
I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad movie, but it definitely has some big flaws. There is no character development for Carol. She’s the same character at the end as she is at the beginning. She just has her memories and more power.
Well it took us 4.5 hours to watch a 3 hour movie because of the 3 month old pigletmolly (who was two weeks from the world on opening weekend). I've watched parts before today but not the whole thing. We can't all have your late night stamina (aka drubability).
I like how the gameplan to keep the stones from Thanos was for Montana (Hawkeye) to pass to Rice (BP)
After seeing EG about 10x now, I'm comfortably of the belief that... - most of the criticism they got for Black Widow dying on Vormir is stupid, but... - it still should have been Hawkeye The movie (and her arc from WS until that moment) sets up Natasha to do it just fine. It makes sense in terms of her story. But Clint murdered a bunch of people after the snap and it makes more sense for him to pay it back there than to live and basically get no repercussions for his actions.
He “murdered” evil men. Murderers, cartel, rapists, villains, etc. Nat had no personal connections outside of the Avengers, now that may be sad but it’s true. Clint has a family. A wife. A daughter. Two sons. If one deserved to live it’s Clint. Nat knew that and made that call. She wasn’t wrong.
It might have been mentioned here but in SpiderMan Into the Spiderverse when Miles first goes and sees his uncle, on his uncle's TV is the intro to Community where Donald Glover is waking up for the day and is wearing SpiderMan PJs. I'm not going to lie, I'm very excited to find this little Easter egg.
Good God "I love you 3000" is such a gut punch. i have a similar thing with my kid "We always win together". Fucking dusty as hell.
CM was a perfectly middle of the road MCU origin story You can definitely tell it had 5 credited screenwriters because the tone was all over the place.
