I thought they were. He’s talking about the rumor that Ant Man 3 was cancelled and is being turned into a series instead for Disney+
I thoroughly enjoyed the first two but are there really any solo stories that need to be told there? It seems like weaving a 1 or 2 season series into some of the others seems like it would be a lot reasonable for that character.
Oh most definitely. But whether it’s the form of a 6 episode series or a movie, I’d be indifferent. But yes, do not reboot with some shit actors.
moving Ant-Man to D+ makes too much sense. It didn't see a big box office bump for its sequel and there's only so many slots Disney allocates to Marvel movie releases each year. With X-Men and F4 coming, not to mention a slew of other sequels to big movies and new properties, something had to give. D+ lets you have a lot more space to play in
hey guys...been a while. Finally saw Dark Phoenix and Far From Home last night so I guess I can rejoin the thread
They should introduce Bishop somehow (as much as I love Omar Si, he was not a good choice), and use him as one of the ways they bring in the X-Men. We're already fucking with the Multi-verse
In the X Men cartoon Charles and Magneto spent an entire season stuck in the savage land. Mr Sinister had taken it over and had a de-mutanting device that took away their powers. For some odd reason it made Xavier’s legs work again. I don’t remember how.
Mr Sinister is one I can’t imagine working live action without some inventive reimagining but through Feige, all things are possible
Isn’t that part of Charles Xavier’s backstory that he refused to take treatment for his mutation knowing that it would make him a paraplegic?
In the cartoon, Mr Sinister created a device that prevented all mutant powers from working so when Professor X and Magento landed on the island, they lost their powers which gave Xavier the use of his legs again At the end of that season, the X-men arrive, destroy the machine and rescue Magento and Xavier The last 2 espisodes of that season were amazing. The fight scenes with the Xmen theme music blasting were incredible and I love Mr Sinister as the villain
for some reason (can't remember why now), he telepathic powers mess up his legs. I believe they made a reference to this in Xmen First Class as well
Yes. And in Days of Future Past, he can walk at the beginning because the drugs Beast gives him for the pain take away his powers while allowing him to walk.
Xavier's walking in the comics right now, but it's because he was reborn. Speaking of, I don't know who in this thread is into comics at all, but House of X and Powers of X (essentially the two together are one current ongoing weekly series) is one of the best X-Men stories I've ever read. I haven't read X-Men regularly in years, and it was very easy for me to pick up.
