Been there pretty sure I watched the entirety of the MCU during the FSU 2018 experience even Iron Man 2 and 3!
Sorry, just now finally got around to watching Far from Home. Was that the Damocles at the end of the movie?
Holland is the best thing to happen to Spider-Man since Brian Michael Bendis started Ultimate Spider-Man in the early 2000s
Watched End Game again on my flight yesterday. The forced girl power scene is still the only negative I can find.
They could have done that sequence seamlessly, and allowed the audience to deduce what they were doing. Instead, well like you said, it was extremely forced and a little corny/tongue in cheek.
Other than mind control, which requires physical and prolonged contact, she's pretty much a vanilla mortal
Kraglin: “Won't there be hundreds of Sakaaran soldiers inside?" Drax: "I think of Sakaaran as paper people” One of the more underappreciated lines in the MCU think I’m going to give gotg the good ol’ rewatch tonight
That scene was for 10 year old girls, so I'm guessing they were trying to hit the audience over the head with it. I thought it was kind of out of place and weird, but it's a 3 hour movie I loved. I'm okay with 45 seconds of it being geared towards someone else instead of me.
No fighting skills or superhuman durability when her only power requires direct physical contact for a prolonged period of time isn't ideal for a battle charge.
At first the incels were pissed they had to watch strong girls, now they’re coming for the Arthropods as well. SMDH.
I appreciated the Russo’s explanation. They knew they would be accused of pandering but ultimately they liked the scene and didn’t care about backlash from (mostly) internet trolls.
Just as corny as “you know it’s a trap.” “Yeah I don’t care.” “So long as we are all on the same page then.”
Huh? It was a corny scene, but the opinion is extremely insignificant considering it’s a wonderful film culminating years of the MCU.
Those were the lines between Ironman and Thor before their final fight with thanos. Corny lines are corny. But great imo.
Honestly my only problem is the rest of the chicks besides Scarlett and marvel are a little underpowered and Gammorah is leading the fray when she really has the least skin in the game
My dislike was not because of the firepower scene. Mine was because it was sooo forced. Marvel just flew in, and single handily, no handedly?, whatever the fuck, saves the day all by her damn self by fucking flying through Thanos’s ship, paying zero attention to the raining fire that had just swayed the victory towards the baddies. Now all of a sudden she needs help by a bunch of mostly strong mortal Women that somehow got a group textie to meet up at Peter to save the day? Marvel didn’t need their help. She wasn’t breaking a sweat busting shit Up all by herself. Wasn’t offended. Just seemed way out of place. My daughter thought the same. “Who are they gonna help?”
