FX has announced that Legion will premiere on February 8th, and a new trailer has been released to accompany the news.
Not gonna say anything revealing but it's the showrunner from Hannibal and looks so bizarre that I'll give it a shot
Prof X's son. Omega level mutant. Super powerful but has a fucked up head. He can absorb people's personalities and these personalities can control different part of his super powers. Mostly like Xavier with telepath powers.
It's the 16 year old Parker. If you read Ultimate Spider Man it's not too far out that story thread. In that he was working with Fury in a similar position a ton I'm pumped, Keaton looks great in it too
Didn't read much of Ultimate Spider-Man, so I'll defer to you on that. Spidey never had a problem working with other characters, and it would be expected to do so. The only ASM comparison to this is in the second issue of the original run when he went to the Fantastic Four headquarters wanting to join, they told him no, and he was basically like "ok, screw y'all". Pete had a bit of feistiness to him, hence the wisecracks. I think the characterization they're showing in this is good overall and I liked the trailer, but that one aspect is annoying me.
looking at the cast list for Homecoming and I found a little easter egg. nothing big, not sure if it's well known. Spoiler Kenneth Choi, who played Jim Morita in CA: TFA and SHIELD is playing Principal Morita in Homecoming. wonder if they will mention he's some descendant of the Howling Commando
yeah i agree that he's almost too "aw schucks" at this point but he's learning his footing as spider man, i'm sure once he gets to Avengers IW and his other movies he'll be on the right path REALLY sucks that Wolverine isn't in the MCU, the Wolverine/Spidey dynamic is one of my favorites in the comics once they both got on avengers
Also y'all should read the old ultimate Spurrier man comics they're great G swipe made it Spurrier instead of Spider and I'm gonna keep it that way because Spurrier Man makes me laugh
If you were a high school aged orphan who had, say, a cooler Bill Gates, taking you under his wing...
You also have to make the distinction that in this iteration of the Spiderman in the MCU its not Spiderman wanting to impress Iron Man, its a 16 year old high school geek wanting to impress Tony Stark, who probably is seen as Jesus himself to young geeks/nerds/techies.
So I haven't read too much of the Ultimate Spidey, but is that Ganke (Miles Morales' sidekick) with Peter Parker instead of Miles? Because if it is, then that means we have less of a chance of seeing Miles, which sucks.
