I was really disappointed none of my friends had seen it tonight. It sucks when you're really excited about something and folks are just like...wha? One person saw it was trending, that was the best I got
Re: Thor trailer Possible spoilers within but it won't come as a surprise to fans of the comics. Spoiler :45 to :50 of the trailer are Hela fighting someone. I initially thought it was Loki falling, but from the trailer, Hela's throwing a sword - what I assume to be the Odinsword, which is how Ragnarok comes about. There's a whole lot going on very subtly in the trailer. Think it's going to be a fantastic storyline.
3 hours of Hiddleston and Goldblum talking Half hour of Thor and Hulk fighting then fucking Half hour of Cate Blanchett just making faces in her hot topic getup Extra credits scene of Chris Pratt trying to convince Zoe Saldana and Tessa Thompson into a 3-way
I'm ok with the Josh Brolin casting. He'll do a great job as Cable, but I still say Michael Shannon would have been the better choice.
Embargo lifts nearly three weeks early? Disney must be 100% confident it's going to be a slam dunk with the critics.
I'm so happy I know basically nothing about the plot of GOTG2. All I know is they fight a giant space monster and meet Peter's dad (who is Ego except not a giant planet, so I dunno). That initial trailer gave nothing away and that's all I've seen or heard.
Pretty crazy that Feige did not have Thanos in mind when Wheddon included him in the Avengers post credits scene. He thought it was just a gag for fans. But here we are.
Just a few interviews I remember reading over the years. There wasn't a plan for a big culmination movie, but instead for a regular Avengers team up every few years. Wheddon said he put Thanos in the movie just to say "we've got a whole universe out there and we're not afraid to play with it." It wasn't until after Avengers that they decided to start really building toward a big "Avengers movie to beat all Avengers movie" film down the line.
