I liked Doctor Strange a lot. Much better than Ant-Man in my estimation, but probably outside the top 5 or so in the MCU. It just felt like they rushed through the origin story because there isn't enough time to give a character with his depth two movies or so. Iron Man, Batman Begins, and Captain America: Best Hero in the Marvel Universe remain the standard by which others are judged as far as origins are concerned. The Thor appearance was unexpected and awesome (he's my number 2). Hemsworth plays that lovable idiot so perfectly well. I'm very excited for Ragnarok. And Homecoming And Rogue One mostly
An origin story in the current MCU is really really hard to pull off nowadays, you have to create a compelling storyline that would keep the character separated from the established events and other characters, while at the same time dealing with the larger world building back stories already in place.
I agree, which is why I still said it was a very good movie. I was skeptical all along because of how out there it appeared, but I ended up enjoying it very much. It's going to be interesting to see how he ties in with the rest of the characters.
The first Spiderman was great. That movie and the first X-Men really started the entire comic-book era, and brought those characters to life. I've seen some of those comic movies from 80s and 70s and it's like Heart of Darkness 'the horror, the horror.'
Just started S3 of AOS on Netflix. - Simmons better come back soon. - Daisy is still a terrible actress - Ward is awesome as is Coulson - Adrianne Palicki - Lo Pan being May's dad is hilarious
It's not just you. Looks to be a lot of inspiration there, though I'm not sure how it was described in the book.
Fox gonna continue fucking this up if they let Fassbender walk. http://www.bleedingcool.com/2016/12/25/michael-fassbender-non-commital-returning-x-men-magneto/
Fox is the one who is bitter that they were cut out of the deal with Lucas, Disney is the one that needs to extend an olive branch.
They can send out an olive branch equal to the circumference of the earth made out of $100 bills and Fox still wouldn't budge.
I hope that's for a credits scene because as much as I'd love to see a Deadpool/Wolverine movie, the tone of this movie doesn't seem to fit Deadpool at all. If Deadpool actually has a scene in the movie, seems like that'd be Fox shoehorning him in there to generate extra buzz.
Exactly. It makes no sense for Deadpool to be in Logan based on what we know about the movie. Then again this is Fox we're talking about.
Why would they have a Deadpool post-credits scene attached to a movie that is set a decade later? I know the Fox Marvel universe is already a mess but you'd think they'd try and adjust things going forward to help with continuity.
The Wolverine credits scene with Charles and Magneto approaching Logan takes place quite a few years before Days of Future Past actually takes place. Apocalypse credit scene references Mr. Sinister in 1983 and we might not see him until this Logan movie or some X-Men movie set in the 90s. In summary, Fox doesn't care about the timeline when it comes to credit scenes.
Are they not already having a time traveling Cable in Deadpool 2? Kinda opens up the time travel box before Deadpool 2 starts?
Rewatching civil war The airport scene overshadows how great the apartment complex fight and tunnel chase is
guy can't be killed and has insane healing factor...makes no sense for him to be alive several years into the future.
