Well if it was rumored that Vol. 3 was going to be set during Christmas, how about a December release?
I went to a con to see Sean Gunn (lol Kirk) a few weekends ago and one of the audience questions was whether his brother could return for GOTGv3 to which he coyly and reservedly responded “never say never”. Seemed like more of wishful thinking on his part at the time, as he spoke highly of having James as his boss and how much fun his production is. Now we kind of know he helped executive produce Endgame, which means he was likely around the set for Infinity War a good bit as well. Disney has been patiently waiting for this shitstorm to blow over.
Was that you? Came to the thread to point out whoever that was. You slipped it in with little response. Something you heard, or just an opinion?
Because being an angry internet troll about people and what they did years ago isn't a fucking thing we need to be concerned about. Unless they continue doing the things they are accused of today.
I honestly don’t know if I said it out loud or was wishful thinking. It was based on nothing but opinion. Just the fact that it was bullshit to begin with, cast was heavily in favor of him staying, and any linked director saying they wouldn’t touch James’ franchise.
well done. i found some cheap blu-rays at the thrift store and picked that one up. didn;t remember much about and popped it in to watch after the highs of Endgame and Ragnarok. what a noisy, stupid, pointless movie.
You really wonder what they could do with that character now, knowing what they do. At the time, they were good, but only the first really holds up with time.
True, but I don't think that's the case for Stark/RDJ. He's a heavy hitter in every scene he's in and his character is terribly charismatic. I think they obviously botched the entire idea of a movie in IM3, and I don't think Rourke was the right casting for Whiplash. All the Iron Man/Stark parts of both movies are good...it's just everything else around them(except Cheadle, who was a giant upgrade for Rhodes).
Pretty stoked to watch Iron Man today. Captain America was tight because i haven't seen it in forever. Also, CA kills so many people
This is a bad opinion to put in your graveyard of awful takes Iron Man 3 was a good movie if you’re not still a salty puss about Mandarin
Been avoiding this thread all week because I still haven’t seen Captain Marval but this seemed like a good place to say I just bought 2 front row tickets to see Tom Hiddleston in Betrayal in London next week. Just opened Wednesday. Excited
Pretty cool shot of him looking at the smoke trail off in the distance. Perhaps a ship has just crash-landed there?
Iron Man 2 had the thankless job of setting up the foundation for the overall basis of a connected universe, introduced us to Fury (the end credit scene of IM1 not counting), Nat and even the first mention of an Infinity Stone (Howard's notes mentioning the tesseract) and had to deal with a major actor change (Rhodes being Don Cheadle). Iron Man 3 took everything that a connected universe was suppose to be and literally vomited all over it, the entire plot and premise was so horrible it was basically retconned and ignored.
My 6 year old still thinks Banners says “he uses it for orangies”...which is what we’ve always called little oranges.
My daughter loves korg so much her teacher emailed me to say she kept saying “piss off ghost” at recess
Grandmaster : Revolution? How did this happen? Topaz : Don't know. But the Arena's mainframe for the Obedience Disks have been deactivated and the slaves have armed themselves. Grandmaster : Ohhh! I don't like that word! Topaz : Mainframe? Grandmaster : No. Why would I not like "mainframe?" No, the "S" word! Topaz : Sorry, the "prisoners with jobs" have armed themselves. Grandmaster : Okay, that's better.
I've seen IM2 a handful of times. IM3, I saw in the theater and haven't watched a second of since. Garbage movie.
In the MCU, Scarlet Witch gets her powers directly from the Mind Stone, and Vision was carrying the actual stone, whereas Marvel gets hers from an engine that is powered from the Space stone. It seems like there’s a whole extra level there.
One of my favorite actors growing up, but damn he basically did nothing with his The Wrestler comeback (and he was brilliant in that movie). He just fucked up his face too much and became a caricature. Too bad considering his talent and the way he started his career in the 80s.
If we go by comics to determine power level in the MCU... 1. Living Tribunal 2. Cytorrak (not mentioned by name but strange used the red bands of Cytorrak on Thanos, so IMO he's in the MCU) 3. Odin (full strength)....deceased 3a. Surtur (full strength)...deceased? 3b. Dormammu (in dark dimension) 4. Thanos (sans gauntlet) 4c. Ego (deceased) 5. Thor 6. Captain Marvel 7. Hela 8. Dr. Strange 9. Scarlet Witch 10. Hulk 11. Ronan the Accuser Getting too difficult at this point.
