Just don’t see how it could be pre IW. That was such a monumental ending i don’t see how they could back in the timeline
Read it takes place immediately following the aftermath of Infinity War 2. Peter has to deal with the new world
This. I get they got to market a movie, but it feels weird as shit that they are dropping a trailer for a movie that is confirmed to happen after Infinity War showing that someone who is currently dead being alive and well. We all knew that it was coming but still...
Possible plot spoiler Spoiler Think I read an article that speculates Mysterio that starts off as friendly. The edit makes it look like he's fighting SM but I think he fights with SM then turns whatever reason
This was reportedly a point of contention with Disney and Sony, but ultimately it was Sony's call and they wanted to strike while the iron's hot.
Yeah, this was my question when people said it was Mysterio. I was so confused thinking he was a bad guy but in the previews he seems to be helping.
I think he’s creating these secondary villains and then fighting them so he can be the hero who saves the day.
I never did comic books but my obsessive friend got me started on the movies so I’ve been learning as I go. Obviously all of the main characters are pop culture stuff but dudes like Hawkeye, etc. I was oblivious to.
I think this releases just a couple of months after the Avengers so would have been difficult to wait that long.
Nerdy catch from reddit, when they're cruising around on boats and Ned gets his picture taken, a boat passing behind has a call signal or whatever of ASM 212. Amazing Spiderman #212 was the first appearance of Hydroman. So the question is, is this just a throwaway reference (and these are elemental monsters are creations of Mysterio) or are these the Elementals (four extradimensional immortal humanoids) or is this Hydroman. Or some combination.
This trailer just highlights the absurdity of IW "killing off" only the people that have future movies scheduled. It cheapened their death and made it obvious they were coming back. I also understand that they wanted to make the original avengers save the day as one final hurrah so I know there's not much that could be done realistically to make it different. But this meme is exactly how I'm gonna feel watching End Game -_-
I also thought Super Man was dead forever when they killed him at the end of Batman vs Superman. This outrage would be more palatable if bringing characters back from the dead wasn't a recurring trope in comic books for the past 60 years.
that doesn't mean you make it obvious as fuck. DC fucked it up with superman too. So yea good example. If Iron Man or Captain America die in End Game that's going to be much more believable and impactful than the snap.
Cheapening IW talk is just way off. The moment happened. The emotions in that moment happened. The fallout in end game will happen. This trailer changes nothing.
Ya but we knew there was a part 2. We didn't think whelp the Empire finally won after the end of Empire Strikes Back.
The idea of the characters coming back was never supposed to be some big plot point. The important part is who is sacrificing themselves to bring them, and back.
Now you're just being purposefully obtuse. I know this might blow your mind but you can have casualties and still have the good guys eventually win. When every single casualty has a future movie scheduled the impact is lessened. Again I understand it's a logistical issue and not much the writers could have done about it but it just cheapens those moments in my opinion
For me, the loss of any of the characters who weren't snapped is going to hit harder than any of the ones who dusted. And there are definitely going to be permanent deaths in Endgame. Cap's going to sacrifice himself, and it's going to get mighty dusty in the theater for me.
