I'm really referring to watching how to train your dragon 3. Which had plenty of comedic moments but these idiots were laughing in the most awkward places. Shit was weird
I could get behind this if they didn't blast the song at the beginning of the scene. At least play it softly and build to the end of it if that's the idea. You could barely hear the dialogue at first because it started so loud.
The song usage was not that bad it was the editing that made it stand out so much. I generally take for granted how much an editor has an impact on a film but the difference between one in Captain Marvel and Guardians of the Galaxy is clear.
Exactly. For example, when Quill escapes Morag, as the Milano pulls away the usage and timing of The Raspberries is perfect.
Also, on a related note, Eric Carmen had a huge crush on my mom in high school. My sisters insist that Hungry Eyes was about her and my mom always gets all bashful/embarrassed when they do. He’s Mickey Rourke’d the fuck out of himself, though. Lay off the surg, Eric.
Ruffalo just always has this "why the fuck was I cast in this and as this?" Aura to him and it carries over into his character. It works sometimes but it can also be pretty lame sometimes. And it's not a good look when he's next to guys like RDJ, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Chris Evans who are crushing it.
I've probably watched Ragnarok 100 times at this point and will gladly watch it 100 more, but I"m still not sure it's better than Winter Soldier. That movie is damn near perfect.
Currently rewatching Cap 1, and it is a criminally underrated MCU film. Going to break my nerd heart when he sacrifices himself in the most heroic way possible in Endgame
268 million views in 24 hours for Avengers EndGame trailer 2, first one was 289 million. In comparison Infinity War trailers were 230 & 179 for 1st & 2nd trailers respectively.
Currently on THOR. Idris and Hopkins were amazingly cast. Hopkins is old but damn he's scary Hemsworth brings a childlike wonder to being the God of Thunder, which really works. Taking away the 2nd film, THOR and RAGNAROK are terrific films that have Thor evolving as a character. Pissed Thor is best Thor though
"It was delicious I want another" "you could have just said so" "I just did"(with a chuckle) God I love Thor
The fish out of water stuff in Thor was funny. Salvaged the second half of that movie which was mostly forgettable.
Overall, "final boss" of Marvel films were mediocre. Avengers with Loki being ordered by Thanos was first great villain. Loki is an amazing villain, but like a sub-boss.
IM2 isn’t bad. It’s not great though. Great segment of Tony’s storyline, where he thinks he is unbeatable and on top of the world, but needs to learn there is always a threat and someone stronger. Rourke’s making God bleed line sums it up.
IM2 wasn't about Tony thinking he's unbeatable, it was about him being reckless to near suicidal levels because he knows his time is running out with the palladium poisoning and his unresolved father issues.
IM2 done... not horrible. Good storytelling for Tony Stark and his evolution. Rourke sucked as a casting choice, but no one is perfect. Starting Avengers
I might go with this way, basically every movie is in order of end credit scenes and what they lead up to
I really wish we had gotten more iron man/dr strange vs skinny child of Thanos cunt off from IW. I can't remember what his name was, but that villain def died too soon. 'Twas some great cuntery between those three.
