I think him staying in the house of mouse but doing a Star War is more likely than Thor 4 Which would possibly excite me even more
The Valkyrie character being out there somewhere with whatever is left of the people of Asgard makes me think we get one more Thor movie after End Game. From both Ragnarok and the stuff said by Feige and others after it, seems like they had plans for that character beyond just that movie.
I'm pretty sure Feige said after IW that Valkyrie survived the snap, and Tessa Thompson has also been quoted as saying her character is bi, which I've assumed is something Marvel has plans to do something about considering the heat they've taken from people about not having any gay characters to this point.
Sounds like one of the leads in The Eternals will be gay. I can't wait for all the outrage from the people pretending to be long time fans of whatever unknown character it is because of the change like they did with the casting of MBJ as Human Torch.
They might, but doubt they reveal anything until after Endgame. Taika doesn’t have any movies announced after his Hitler movie. And has the What We Do in the Shadows show on FX debuting next week.
Thor needs a fourth movie. Shoot he needs a fifth and a sixth, directed by Taika. Let's just pretend the first two didn't happen and consider his "trilogy" to be Ragnarok and its two sequels.
Coulson’s death brings them together. The Snap and half of the universe fading away brings them together again.
Dark World actually paces well imo (90 minute movie). Just not much to write home about otherwise outside of some Loki scenes.
I don't know if it was a lucky break or what, but Ragnarok was fantastic. I am hoping Disney signs Taika up for future movies.
Finally saw CM last night. It was interesting in that it was pretty bad but not in the way I was expecting. one thing that came to mind was the Dorn storyline from Game of Thrones. Like here's some stuff we've got to get through to set the table for the real story so what happens is you get something that doesn't really have it's own animating vision or point of view. You end up with lots of cliched interactions that you've seen in a million other movies to mark the time and drag the story forward and forced humor to try to make it all fun. A lot of the dialogue, particularly the Louisiana stuff, reminded me of Hallmark Channel type movies, too. Wasn't all bad. The Kree Skrull stuff was pretty cool and I feel like there couldve been a good movie here but the execution was hamstrung by franchise stuff and maybe the directors were in over their head/overwhelmed by outside forces. And I'm not sure what I think about Brie. I don't think she really popped at all, but I think a better movie might help. Interested to see Endgame for that.
Oh yeah, and I did think a lot of those needle drops were jarring and on the nose. Suicide Squad-esque.
There’s absolutely a 0% chance Disney incorporates Deadpool into the MCU. If they want to continue to embrace (and make a shit ton of money) on the character, then he simply doesn’t fit with the MCU. They’ll keep him in his pocket universe under a “different” studio while his character complains about it during his movie.
Not surprising but reports saying all the Fox properties will be rebooted except Deadpool. Only real losses are Fassbender and Mcavoy.
Yep. Really no way to incorporate the two timelines without a reboot. Except for Deadpool, which can have A LOT of fun playing with the merger in the next film.
The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, "Avengers: Endgame."
Just ate shawarma and thought of Avengers. 6 vs a whole army. I could fucks with some post-Battle Shawarma
They'll bring Deadpool in at some point, but I wonder how that will work given the freedom they seemed to get to do the first two films compared to the way Marvel can be running that stuff. Maybe it would turn out great because of that (I thought the second one went off the rails a bit), but I could see it going the other way, too.
I've got faith in Feige but it will be interesting in how xmen/mutants actually get introduced. The easy way would be incorporating it with the snap and altering space/time/reality. I'm sure there's a plan.
I just saw Captain Marvel and only wanted to report that I enjoyed it and that Brie Larson sure is swell.
Went to the avenger's exhibit in Vegas today. It was disappointing. The costumes were cool, but could have been so much more Also was overpriced at $42 imo
No, IMO just give them the Spider-Man treatment. We had two separate runs of SM movies before the Holland version entered the MCU, everyone knew his origin story. Same could be said about the X-Men and/or the Fantasic Four
Fargo showrunner Noah Hawley, who was hired to write a Doctor Doom movie in 2017, earlier this month confirmed he's spoken to Feige about the script centering on the Fantastic Four villain, though Hawley downplayed how serious those discussions were. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/x-men-hit-marvel-cinematic-universe-at-2021-1195846
