Watching EMH, Pym just added a program to Ulton for “violence” to attack Kang, I’m sure this will end well....
Don't think it is confirmed that Doom is coming (yet), right? Personally I hope the movie has a big, wacky scope and ends with a fight against Mole Man.
Doom is way too important is so many storylines. With Kang being the big bad there is no way there is no Doom. I don't necessarily think that means there won't be any other villains in Fantastic 4.
Idk if you can call Kang a main bad, introducing F4 could only mean the start of the buildup to Galactus.
Eventually, but they can milk Kang and Doom and Apocalypse for 2 decades before Galactus and the heralds have to make an appearance.
Yeah I spoke way too soon on that one. Kept waiting for anything interesting to happen and it never did. Was down on the Ang Lee Hulk level of crap that missed the mark with the characters.
I just think Doom is the biggest and greatest S tier villain Marvel has, though obviously the way they did the Thanos story means it's hard ever to have a villain more impactful. Still, Doom is aces and I hope he gets all the attention and importance a villain can get. More than Thanos, who had ten minutes of screentime, at most, before Infinity War. Doom needs to be as important as Thanos and as visible as Loki, imo. I don't want him relegated to being "the F4 villain." That's why I said, do Mole Man for the first movie and, if you must do anything, just tease Dr. Doom.
all this talk of Dr Doom being some mega baddie has me realizing i know nothing about him short of the Nip/Tuck actor's portrayal from the original FF movies
Agree. Besides Mole Man is how I picture Rivals posters. Also the puppetmaster that's Alicia's dad would be a better F4 villain choice.
The idea behind was cool i thought, as far as a dark, horror style movie. But the execution was beyond bad.
These actors aren’t committing to that. They’ll finish P4 by 2030 The inevitable result is a destruction of the current MCU and a retcon though
Not a comic book guy but I don't see how they top Thanos as the big bad. Having him in play from the get (even if you didn't know until later) and the enormity of his plan was just so grand. Still gonna watch and be excited though.
at some point the bubble with burst on this genre in Hollywood. I'd be surprised if we saw the MCU still operating at this scale in 20 years. hope I'm wrong because I love it.
I'm desperate for a scene in the Loki series where it's revealed he's NoobMaster69 and shows him fucking with Korg and Thor on Fortnite
He works as a villain against the sorcerer Dr. Strange, against the national ruler Black Panther (obviously circumstances now leave this TBD), against the genius of Reed Richards and the Fantastic Four, against the united forces of good in the Avengers. He's got more range than Keira Knightly.
It's true. They're the new westerns. They'll last a long time but nothing lasts forever. That's culture.
Well when holodeck technology gets invented and perfected ofc things like superhero movies aren't gonna be mainstream anymore.
Would laugh if they bring her back to die in 5 seconds like the members of the warriors 3 in Ragnarok.
I think the original Secret Wars limited series really delivered the definitive takes on a lot of Marvel characters and Doc was probably the best of those. Portrayed a guy who had interesting depths and so much intelligence and drive that he was a threat to even the gods.
Do you guys think they can pull off Galactus well? Seems like a really hard character to nail in terms of a live action movie. Feel like it could look super goofy I do want to see what all the MCU can do with Silver Surfer
Feel like Nightmare and Gorr the God Butcher have a chance to be two of the best villains we've seen in the MCU so far. Not a super high bar considering the villains have been the MCU's achilles heel on their otherwise flawless record
They would have to certainly give Galactus motivations, not just him being hangry. Some writers have done a good job of this in the comics.
I may be pretty alone on this hill, but I’ve just never been a fan of Galactus. I don’t find him nearly as compelling of a villain as others in the Marvel U.
Galactus and F4 need to merely just be removed from the diarrhea filled toilet that Fox left them in and Uncle Kevin will further reinforce his Godlike status
I think the heralds of galactus can bring some compelling “villains” to the MCU. A lot of duality and struggle, overcoming his control, seeking revenge
