How many years in the MCU has Ross been around? He's Sec. of State in Civil War, right? Surely he's out of power by now. He ought to be an analyst on CNN at this point.
Yeah I know but I meant in the timeline. How much time passes between Incredible Hulk and Falcon and the Winter Soldier? 2008-2024?
I *think* the events that led to the Hulk movie predates even Iron Man 1. Like pre Hulk Bruce being recruited by Ross to work on the serum.
Man were the 80s a fountain of odd, insane, or otherwise batshit crazy ideas that got turned into cult favorite movies. We need more producers coked out of their minds greenlighting low to mid-budgeted projects in Hollywood today.
Red haired girl must be the one that beats up Bucky. Who is in the star? It’s hard to tell but they look white. I’m guessing they set up either the Patriot or US Agent as a new Cap and don’t accept Sam.
IIRC in the comics the US Government basically appointed a Captain America even though either Sam or Bucky was the appointed successor. So I assume they’re doing a similar thing.
not yet I’m just excited that they finally decided to bring back the forgotten characters like her and Dr Darcy
Status update time. Wrapped up phase two last night, her main takeaways thus far: 1. Hulk was pointless 2. Iron Man 2 is her least favorite so far 3. Lady Sif is very attractive 4. The Dark World is better than it gets credit for 5. GOTG is still her favorite 6. What happened to Wanda’s accent?
I read somewhere the Black Widow taught her to disguise it at the beginning of Civil War when she was training her to be a spy. I don't think it was ever mentioned on screen though.
It came back during WandaVision. Obviously it wasn’t an accident given the scene, so I’m guessing we’ll find out more about it.
Iron Man 3 > Iron Man 2 IM3 doesn't make sense in the MCU, sure - but it was a more enjoyable watch than watching that leathery bastard speak with a terrible russian accent
The one thing that pisses me off every time I watch IM2 is the prison escape thing. Ivan’s “body double” is escorted into the cell and then they both look down at their prisoner number and they’re the same. Why?! Why do this dumb charade? Isn’t the body about to be burned to an unrecognizable degree by the mashed potato c4 shit? What good is the prisoner id number on a piece of flammable fabric going to do? So stupid.
I don't love either movie tbh. IM2 gave us better Rhodey. Was a lot more consistent with the MCU timeline. And as much as I hate the end of IM3 from a overview standpoint, it was fun to watch as a fan. IM3's biggest problem is lack of IM time.
Wake me when Thor 2 features Chris Hemsworth stripping in the back of Happy Hogan's car. Until then Iron Man 2 > Thor 2
Man. Someone in the WV thread said it’s the best Marvel thing ever (it’s great but i disagree) and I’ve been racking my brain trying to make up my top 5... 1) Infinity War 2) Ragnarok 3) Winter Soldier 4) EndGame 5) Civil War I think...
