ive watched his GoT vids and they're so good
Look.. I know it's thursday. So no one yell at me
pretty excited about this and DD coming back
Daredevil is still the best Marvel TV show
I really liked Punisher but this is still probably correct.
Like y’all never watched EMH
Best cartoon Marvel show. Followed by Spectacular Spider-Man
I don't think that's how it works but I won't criticize bringing back an old school meme
like I’m so excited for this movie
Hawkeye premieres 11/24
Where’s the SpiderMan trailer?
I’m gonna watch but Hawkeye is by far the worst of the larger characters. Just doesn’t do it for me
Wednesday for the TV shows is great.
Pruned from the timeline
if it helps, I don't think he is the title character.
And I would say the BW post credits scene upped the anticipation for most of us for this series.
should rename the show Bonkeye.
Are we really expecting there to be some major conflict between Hawkeye and Yelena? I'm expecting the opposite.
At the beginning, yes
I saw BW and thought that movie was subpar so that didn’t really help me much
You didn’t like anything about Yelena?
Really? I fucking love Renner's portrayal of Hawkeye. He's always been one of my favorite characters and I'm actually looking forward to that show.
Also I really don't have any desire at all to watch BW and I know about the post credit scene. Do I need to watch it at all?
I think as a standalone movie it was pretty entertaining. Flo Pugh alone was worth the time.
if you're looking for things to progress or even affect the overarching MCU plot, you're going to be disappointed though.
I guess kind of the same response to both of these is that the characters don’t really appeal to me. But again I love marvel overall so will watch all of these. So hopefully Hawkeye ends up being sweet
I’d sue them too they better pay that woman
Suit seems very reasonable on her part
If it entertains I’m cool with that. Honestly I’m just trying to avoid marvel burnout. Loki was really the only Disney + show I truly loved. Felt like a throwback to the original marvel movies and the feeling you get watching those
I mean if that lost $50m figure for SJ is accurate, seems pretty clear cut.
Lawsuit is going to be interesting. I wonder what they compare box offices to for lost revenue calculations. Something pre pandemic? Also, do streaming buys go towards box office dollars?
Someone here said streaming numbers don't count towards box office. It did around $60 million in streaming the first week then dropped by almost 70% second weekend
Disney will end up settling and paying her a nice chunk of change, probably close to what she would have earned had the movie released without going to Disney+. I don't think it was ever going to make more than 350-400 million.
Only if you want to fall in love with with Florence Pugh and somehow haven't already.
Not sure on the legality of that suit.....their defense will very much be "there was a global pandemic" citing some clause about acts of god. As someone said, they'll settle and sign the NDA's
Sucks for her though, aren't many women-led action films. I feel for her
I wouldn't be stunned if one or both sides wanted to play this out, considering it could have major ramifications in the industry for determining how streaming relates to box office, but at the same time maybe D+ (and other studios) might have a vested interest in not opening that can of worms.
everyone loves the force majeure clause these days.
I would imagine that clause has been invoked more in the last 18 months than it has the prior 20 years combined in the US
That’s why it’s there
I'm not sure it's made much of an impact.. Think it's around 350 million right now and it hasn't opened in China yet. Should get close to the 500is million ant man did.
That's insane she was getting that much, that's RDJ money
Just count the streaming dollars towards the box office total, pay her based on that and call it a day.
I’m just wildly guessing at shit but if that $50 million is coming from her side I’m sure it’s pretty inflated. Do we think pre-Covid that BW would of done $1 billion+ ?
In that article:
The company said it “fully complied with Ms. Johansson’s contract and furthermore, the release of Black Widow on Disney+ with Premier Access has significantly enhanced her ability to earn additional compensation on top of the $20 million she has received to date.”
$800 IMO precovid
I was thinking more along the lines of Ant man.
