Pre-Winter Soldier to Post-Winter Soldier is night and day. And there’s lots of good Pre-Winter Soldier stuff, but man they took it up about 20 notches.
Think you have to add GOTG in that, as well, considering they came out the same summer. Those movies proved that making something within the confines of the MCU doesn't mean your're limited to making just one kind of "superhero" movie. GOTG also opened up the MCU audience to be down for pretty much anything. If they could love GOTG, they're going to give Ant Man and Dr. Strange a chance.
“Besides Reynolds return, there is so many factors being worked but sources say the film is still expected to be rated R like the previous two installments” thank god
I agree, and why I wasn't trying to truly defend the films but they have elements. I know someone deep in the, uh, industry who was educating me on it and I mainly forgot a lot of what they said.
Was doing the online school lessons with the kid today and they were talking about Thanksgiving and the teacher called them colonizers instead of pilgrims the whole time. Shuri is still undefeated.
They have the opportunity to make Black Panther 2 a film which honors the memory of Chadwick Boseman while also passing the torch to Shuri. With the MCU’s new focus on strong female characters, I seriously doubt they don’t pass the mantle to her. As long as the film gets made, of course. Personally, I think there has to be a film which explains where he went. He’s too important of a character to the MCU.
Would be fucking awesome if Deadpool 3 is the movie the brings us the multiverse and brings him into the MCU
We’ve spent years discussing how it’s going to go and Feige is just going to have DP turn to the camera Bueller-style and point blank explain the multiverse.
Been going through phase 1 and user the DustBall has ruled in. CA:TFA>IM1>Hulk>Thor. Why he rated Cap #1? 1) it’s about killing Nazis, 2) “THATS BUCKY BUT HE HAS TWO REAL ARMS!!!”
Kid asked if Cap was going to go “kill all those damn jerries!!!” Really need to tell his grandpa to lay of the WW2 films with him.
Tommy Lee Jones, Stanley Tucci AND Hugo Weaving in the same movie is just one reason why CA: TFA is great
Just listened to the Thor: Dark World binge mode pod. They did not like the movie, and their tear down of it was amusing to me. It truly is remarkable that the script for that movie, which was so bad multiple directors ran away from it and multiple people involved shit on after the fact, was written by the same people who gave us all the Cap movies plus IW and EG.
honestly for me one of the most surprising moments in that movie she was completely wasted in the previous movies
Hopefully she makes an appearance in the Loki show. She was really good in Endgame. Frigga : You're not the Thor I know at all, are you? Thor : Yes, I am. Frigga : The future hasn't been kind to you, has it? Thor : I didn't say I was from the future. Frigga : I was raised by witches, boy. I see with more than eyes and you know that. Thor : [starts crying] I'm totally from the future. “and maybe eat a salad”
Watching CA:WS now. It's subjective and everyone has their favorites, but Black Widow in this movie is the hottest any female in the MCU has ever been and I don't think it's close. Peak of ScarJo's powers.
Watching Spiderverse because they’re taking it off Netflix on Christmas. Such a fucking incredible movie. Just finished the ps5 miles morales game the other day. I’m quite emotionally invested in this character.
I had to buy it the day it came out "for my son". He actually a spiderman freak though. I cannot count how many times I've seen it. He can quote it pretty well too for being just under 4.
