Quite a bit of world building there. Think there’s a couple more of the old episodes to fill in then shit will get crazy. Interesting Castle never knew Murdock was Red but he definitely does now. Think there’s was a scene where he questioned it in DD S2. Was wondering if they’d show the Muse blood bags but yes they are! “Could it have been a Skrull?” . Absolutely loved our boy Wilson just chowing down on some pasta and sausages in front of that ahole Adam. Also, I totally nailed that “Adam” theory didnt I?
If he was in plain clothes he would have been dead but his suit is like super light and flexible Kevlar. Fisk’s 3 piece suits are the same as well. Benny, the guy that called Foggy is the guy that made them for both Fisk and Murdock. Benny went into hiding to get away Fisk so Murdock went to San Fran to bang She-Hulk and he got 5 more suits made out there. Those are the masks at the end of ep 4.
I think there was a moment in his trial when Murdock said a same line that he said as DD and they show the gears turning in Castle’s head.
Oh, it’s not Frank at all.. Spoiler It’s the cop group that uses the punisher symbol. Castle will take care of them soon.
Bank heist with Yusuf was a lot of fun. Some Young Dubliners while Kamala and Kate are in San Fran recruiting a Young Avenger. And holy fucking beer bottles face smash leg breaker finishing move Murdock.
show is good but I think I set myself up for disappointment with how excited I was for it as I've been a little let down.
The bank heist episode just felt odd. What a weird time to have a bottle episode. Second episode was better. It took 7 episodes for DD to finally show up again. That was a bit too much.
I think the bank heist episode is a remnant of the original intent of making this an episodic show. It's enjoyable if you look at it through that lens, but can see why people might be annoyed that it felt like it was on an island compared to the overall arc of the show.
I recall that they had shot like 4 or 5 episodes prior to switching out the creative teams and going in a different direction. I think things will get more serialized going forward and won't stand out as much. In fact, my bet is that the last few minutes of the last episode are the jumping off point for the creative switch.
I will also say I miss the cinematography of the Netflix series. It had a grittier feel to it. This one feels too clean.
This show rocks, but the episodic differences between the two creative teams is so obvious. Also, him returning to his DD persona seemed a bit muted, i was expecting something grander.
Last episode is the type of energy I need for the back half of the season. Imma just forget the first 5 eps happened.
Two episodes left and they were both done by the new team so they should be like the opener. Will it just be Murdock/Castle v Fisk/Task Force? Think Fisk (or Vanessa) breaks him out? I could see her slipping (she doesn’t seem like a great therapist) and letting Fisk know her boyfriend so Fisk sends Bullseye to fridge her for good. Also a safe bet Karen returns and I’m sure ruins something or gets someone else killed.
This season was overhyped and it did it a small disservice. Still good at times but definitely no sort of sustained excellence.
Remember 1, half of 2, 8, and 9 are the new creative team. Cox said 8 was the best episode and D’Onofrio said 9.
So they went the full Queenpin story. She’s been pulling all the strings to pit DD vs Fisk to turn him back into a proper Kingpin. Adam was done on purpose. She hired Bullseye to “kill” Foggy. She picked Heather as the therapist. She set up all the other bosses. Bet Murdock saving Fisk throws a wrench into her plans.
