I considered getting into season 2 this weekend, but forgot how season 1 ended so I watched that season finale Saturday night. I almost forgot how bad it was. Not sure I can bring myself to even give season 2 a shot after that reminder.
I actually enjoyed Season 2 of Iron Fist. I binged it all this past weekend. The fight choreography is much, much better than the first season, and I liked the plot quite a bit. I think it plays to fans of the comics a lot more than most of these series have so far, and that's a positive for me. I thought it was much better than Season 2 of Jessica Jones and Luke Cage.
I honestly didn't really care that much about the fight stuff that angered people in season 1. My issue was much more with how stupid and unlikable Danny Rand was, and how impossible it was to like him in S1 or Defenders because of it. I'll give it a shot at some point and might get all the way through if that gets better.
I've watched 6 eps of season 2. It's a better show than the first time around, but Danny is still a moron and it seems like his stupidity rubs off on anyone he comes in contact with.
God damnit season 2 episode 8 22:48 minutes left in the episode when hes on the phone just killed it for me.
Storyline was a lot better season 2. Actors were still pathetic. Misty can stay. Just replace the rest, no questions asked, act like nothing happened.
I thought the acting was a lot better this season. Finn Jones is awful, which unfortunately brings Jessica Henwick down because his character is just so stupid. I thought Davos was a good character, though. Same with Mary/Walker. I thought Joy and Ward were better this year, too. I'm confused by the end and it everything Danny Rand does annoys the hell out of me, but this season was a much better watch the first and Defenders.
Spoiler Some Iron Fist's throughout history were able to channel the power into weapons. Colleen is able to do it into her katana. It said during the season the Pirate Queen was able to charge the arrows from her bow. Thus, it's heavily implied she is Colleen's ancestor. Another Iron Fist was able to channel the power into his guns. His name was Orson Randall. The guy Danny and Ward are searching for at the end. Danny apparently has Orson's pistols.
Spoiler Is Danny a version of the Iron Fist again at the end? Or are the pistols that thing that brings him that power? I guess my confusion is that Danny goes to these great lengths to convince Colleen that he was so obsessed with the fist that she needed to become the new Iron Fist instead of him. And then, as soon as it happens, he leaves her a note saying he's out so that he can learn about the history of the Iron Fist. The last scene suggests he's become a version of it again. So what was the point of making Colleen become the Iron Fist, again? Every decision Danny makes is stupid to me, and Colleen isn't much smarter. In fairness to Colleen, she probably should have murdered Danny 100x for all the stupid shit he said and did while she just sat there so I can see why she's not very bright in the end.
Finished s2 Really encouraging ending and Ward may be my second favorite character in all of the Marvel Netflix universe.
