When I checked Metacretic earlier, MP3 was at an 88 through like 30 reviews. Everyone says the MP is amazing.
I got to play the demo at gamestop while waiting for Diablo 3. It is a beautiful looking game and the bullet time slow mo is really well done. If you like a good story along with gratuitous violence then pick this game up plus the Mulitplayer is the crown jewel in this game. When you kill the final enemy in a room or area the final bullet will be a slow mo kill cam of where the bullet hit. Face shots all end with violent holes and tons of blood. The way they do cut scenes is really unique, but might be annoying to some. A major plus is that cut scenes replace loading screens, so the game is always moving.
Went to wal mart this morning, wasn't on shelves so I asked about it. Of course none of the old ladies knew what I was talking about. They searched for it and discovered they never received it. They tried telling me it doesn't get released until next week. I asked them what the date was today. When they replied may 15 I grab the huge display that says May 15 right on it. Threw it down and told them this isn't my first time having a problem on a release day at this store and walked out
I don't have it currently. Bought it when it first came out but not sure where it is now. Probably traded it in.
it's certainly those old ladies' fault that somebody at his Wal-Mart fucked up the shipment plus it's Wal-Mart. If your expectations for service are anything above absolute zero, they're too high
its easy, don't work in a department if you don't know anything about the products. they should stick to door greeters... and if it was the first problem i've had at that particular wal-mart, it would be one thing, but i've been there at midnight for NCAA football release with 50 other people. They're sitting back there and have no idea why there is so many people. They finally get around to wheeling the game out at quarter after 12... When Fast Five came out on dvd at midnight, the manager fucked it up and didn't update the computers to allow the sell at midnight. the dipshit night manager continues to sit there and tell me there is nothing he can do about it, so i told him to go get me a chair cuz i'm not leaving this store without this movie in my hand. Thats when he finally realized i wouldn't take a simple no for an answer and he went into the computers and fixed it.
Right? I don't buy a lot of movies because I only do Blu Ray now and don't much care for the prices as is. But when I have to have something, I jew my way around the internet to find the best price for it. Fuck buying movies from Best Buy or Walmart.

Haven't played in a few weeks, but the multiplayer is fun as shit. They did a good job of incorporating bullet time.
Bump. Just playing this now. Is this game as annoying as I find it to be, or is it just because I'm not used to the mechanics because it's my first Max Payne game?
I'm playing on hard, but unless I get a head shot it takes approximately 39 bullets per guy to get a kill, which seems like I'm doing it wrong. Am I supposed to be in cover like I am trying to pick guys off, or is it more of a balls to the wall action game? Do I get enough slow-mo refills to use it and the cover thing all the time as I'm using it very little so far?
Cover shots, aim for the head. Slow mo kills, best be head shots. I thought the game was great to be honest.
I'm only about 90 minutes in so I'm not quite ready to bail on it, I think I'm just not used to the mechanics and it's bothering me.
I remember being a junior or senior in HS and refusing to continue playing Max Payne after I couldn't figure out this level where I was listening to some baby cry over and over as I walked along a path of blood do you need to play the previous ones to get into this?
I'm still early on, but I didn't play any previous Max Payne games - I read through the previous 2 games wiki pages to make sure I was aware of what was going on and felt like that was more than sufficient.
they talk about the previous games enough in the 3rd one that you can grasp what has happened in Max's past.
