Premiers tonight on AMC. Trailer looks solid, going to record the premier tonight and give it a chance. Anyone else?
Read a review that compared it unfavorably to The Night Manager, so I'm watching that on Prime instead
It's gotten kind of negative reviews, but I've enjoyed the first three episodes. I feel like the terrible name might have tainted some reviews from the jump, but it's been solid.
I'll probably never watch it, but I do credit it for making me aware of The Night Manager, which the wife and I found immensely enjoyable.
Oh yeah, The Night Manager was awesome. I loved it. I would roll the dice on McMafia, though. I don't think it's demonstrably worse than TNM. I've always liked David Strathairn, although I admit it's tough to top the duo of Hiddleston and Laurie.
You talking TNM or McMafia? I'm traveling, so I've just been waiting for McMafia episodes to show up on my Roku in the room.
This show is awesome. Just finished episode six. I honestly don't understand any negative reviews. It's very well done. This episode had one of those badass Breaking Bad moments: Spoiler: cool moment You think I'll spare them now? edit: I think he actually says "You think they'll spare them now", but it's a cool delivery either way.
I'm about to start a series, and I'm choosing between McMafia, Bad Blood, and Hanna. Anyone seen at least 2 of the 3?
I've seen McMafia and Bad Blood. Both very different. McMafia is more serious IMO and probably a little more cinematic. Bad blood was interesting and an easier watch. You can get through it pretty quickly. Both good in their own right.
Bad Blood...just because it's an easier watch. A little more hoke and not as serious IMO. It's an interesting story though, don't get me wrong. It's not the Sopranos..but it doesn't suck either.
