Their friendship, which began in 2016 when Miller was 23 and Iron Eyes was twelve, also included Iron Eyes flying to London in 2017 to visit Miller on the set of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald when she was fourteen and Miller was 25. According to Iron Eyes' parents, she later dropped out of school in 2021 to follow Miller. Iron Eyes' parents also alleged in their documents that Miller had caused bruises on her body and that Miller had mistakenly called her transgender. The nonbinary person whose parents filed the report has said their parents allegations are false and a result of their parent's transphobia and inability to accept them. So it's not great, but also not immediately true.

Mentor-mentee, sure. Romantic or sexual, obviously not. Do you know which one this is? The parents are insinuating, but not outright saying, it's the latter. The principal says their parents' allegations are false. There is very little information either way. Is Miller's other behavior problematic? Yep. Do some parents of nonbinary, transgender or gay kids accuse others of "grooming" their kids as a way to blame someone else instead of accepting who their kids are? Yep.
even if I'm giving the full benefit of doubt to Miller and their relationship, I still wouldn't want him mentoring my teeanager. that said, I have a hard time giving him any benefit of doubt considering his other behavior. hopefully you're right and the child wasn't victimized.

I said that's my reaction when I see the word grooming in reaction to the poster who also accused me of rationalizing Miller's behavior, which I didn't do, but I can see how it can be construed. I agree that we don't know. I am perfectly willing yo to say that if Miller had sexual a sexual relationship with an underage person, Miller should go to jail.
I could see how one would assume this would be spun negatively by media because you’re dealing with a non-binary person and there has been a history of bullshit “grooming” accusations among LGBTQIA+ folks, but I just don’t see giving them any benefit of the doubt because of their pattern of abusive and harassing behavior and the fact that they’ve developed this relationship since the person in question was 12. It’s inappropriate.
