You only say that because of how low the standard of a "good" pokemon game is due to nostalgia and rose tinted glasses. The approach and cookie cutter formula of a main series pokemon game hasn't changed since Pokemon Red and Blue and its honestly boring as fuck if you take away the pokemon branding from it.
Xbox deserved all the shit it took to start last gen, but Spencer has done an awesome job since middle of last gen to present.
I'd give anything for this acquisition to bring in a newer, consumer friendly version of exclusives. Buy Gamepass/PS Plus to play all of our exclusives and random 3rd party games for "free" but if you're on the other system you have to pay full price for the same game. Maximize profits and end twitter console wars in the same move
Seems like a smart thing to do I play warzone, but a lot of my friends play multiplayer and hate Vanguard.
That would end up being the next step once streaming becomes just as viable as downloading. One big appeal of console gaming is the ease of not having to build or keep your setup current
eh, you dont actually need to update a pc more often than you would buy a new console if you're ok with the same (relevant) limitations as with consoles. ultimately, i just want a sony/ps launcher on my pc. i dont care if nintendo ever joins the party or not because frankly i do enjoy having a handheld, but give me ps on pc.
love this country. most of it has such shit internet that 50 years is being generous but in some places cloud gaming is already kind of viable.
we're answering different questions streaming/cloud is not replacing consoles in any form anytime soon, even if it's possible to stream games now.
I don't even get fast 4G in the town I live in and all the internet options are shit. It's like this almost everywhere. Streaming is so far from a reality with current internet infrastructure that it's hard for me to even look forward to it
I’d guess it takes a large chunk starting next gen which will probably be 7-8 years from now, and 2 gens from now I’d guess it’s the majority of console gaming.
Out of curiosity how big is the town you live in? I live in a medium sized town of probably 75,000 people and I have good internet and 4g virtually everywhere
MF got like 20 people in his town. I live on the outskirts of a city of 200k and my internet options are balls
Small enough that we've got rednecks figuring out how to install their own faster internet for the community. Problem is, this is almost every small town in America. There are definitely medium sized towns that offer great options, but I don't think it's the norm.
I live in a town of 500 nowhere near a major population center. We have gigabit fiber service throughout my part of the state. I have 250/250 for cheaper the shit internet I had in the bad part of Toccoa, GA I lived in.
this is nothing but inconvenient at this point. just let the sale go through, its not a big deal. cod is still going to be on playstation.
Going to be lame when all games are console exclusives. As long as I can play The Show, 2k, and NCAA, I don't really care but I feel bad for everyone else that gets affected by it.
Seems to me consoles are moving closer to just becoming the same platform and it won’t matter which one you own I also don’t know much about this
imo, they just want to get gamepass on other consoles so they can get out of the console game because they don't make money. no chance they ever take cod off of ps. in the case of a game like starfield which isn't on ps at launch, it will still get there within a year.
A lot of games are crossplay now, even 2k is adding it for 24, but if you can only buy Call of Duty on the Xbox store then you either buy an Xbox or don't play CoD.
PS has the EA pass thing so maybe they had Gamepass but idk. I don't really follow any of them, I just buy my 2-3 games a year and that's it. I don't play a new game every week.
there's an estimated >3 billion gamers worldwide 2.6 billion on mobile 1.8 billion on pc sony has sold 40 million ps5s rest assured, this deal is not about taking cod from ps users
if that's what was happening i would agree but it's quite literally just king, blizzard, and cod. this isn't microsoft buying sony.
