https://www.espn.com/college-footba...ucker-subject-sexual-harassment-investigation doesn’t seem great
And they've also known about this for months based on foia timing so him not being even suspended pending investigation shows they must not be looking at this as an excuse to can him
Hadn't read the article, yikes. Genuinely funny Florida has what I presume is among the most transparent open records laws in the country, fucking Sunshine Law.
https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...ll-coach-sexual-harassment-claim/70679703007/ Michigan State football coach Mel Tucker accused of sexually harassing rape survivor Brenda Tracy, a prominent rape survivor and activist, says Mel Tucker made sexual comments and masturbated without consent during a phone call. Her complaint led to an ongoing Title IX investigation. In his statements to the Title IX investigator, Tucker acknowledged masturbating on the call but said Tracy grossly mischaracterized the episode. According to him, they had consensual “phone sex.”
Tired: Bring in Brenda Tracy to talk to team about sexual assault. Wired: Masturbate on phone call with Brenda Tracy.
If you read the whole USA Today story, Tucker's lawyer brings up Izzo's name (and others) in a way I'm guessing he won't appreciate with this going public.
I believe that if I had tens of millions coming to me regardless of how well I performed at my job I could, check notes, not sexually assault women.
Reading is for losers but I do remember Izzo talking to the commentators for like 30 minutes last week. If Izzo can't crush the story means it's 100% true.
I just don't get how people make these kinds of decisions. there's so many steps between where you start and where you end (jerking it on the phone with a non-consenting rape survivor), I just don't know how people end up making that many wrong choices. like, heat of the moment and you say something really dumb that's one thing but this situation is a whole process, it's layer upon layer of bad decision-making.
That full USA Today story is wild. And Tracy would have to be so batshit crazy and stupid to risk what she's done with her life to make this up and turn it public for what amounts to zero gain for her that I just can't fathom she's lying
I'm not sure that even "consensual" phone sex is a great look. "Hey, I really enjoyed you talking to our team. Do you think maybe you could call me sometime so I can jerk off?"
She has tons of corroborating evidence and he fucking admitted to jerking it on the phone. 0% chance she’s not telling the truth. I just can’t fathom how he could possibly be this fucking dumb. The real fight is gonna be over his lawsuit after MSU fires him for cause.
The only possible thing you could look at and say was fishy at all could be her deleting their texts, but so did he so you could say the same thing about him. Everything else seems like it's backed up with evidence on her part.
of all the women to pick, he goes with the one who makes a living advocating against this very thing?
Yikes I'd only originally read the ESPN article that didn't mention this. I admittedly had no clue about details but with the details just seems worse and worse.
I don’t doubt that there may have been some level of friendship/attraction. She admits as much. But to just start whacking it to the person who the school just paid thousands of dollars to come discuss consent and sexual assault is just melting my brain with how gross/dumb it is. Still need more details but it at least sounds like the school/administration took it seriously and is handling it properly.
It's got a lot of words and people don't like reading, but that USA Today story is crazy and people should read it. Tucker told MSU investigators that his "associate" told him a specific ESPN reporter (Paula Lavigne) was investigating the legitimacy of Tracy's claims of being gang raped 20+ years ago, and that information made him question "how she goes about her business". Except she/ESPN wasn't investigating that and Lavigne's response was like "what the fuck do I have to do with anything". The USA Today story is filled with shit like that.
While I'd never try to trivialize it the ESPN article makes it seem like a run of the mill sexual harassment case as in a guy wanting to have sex with a female who says no or making a bunch of despicable comments to her. The details are absolutely disgusting.
I think it's pretty clear the ESPN article came out because they knew USA Today was about to release a monster report and they wanted to try to beat them to the punch/steal some of the attention without knowing (or being able to back up) the details reported by USA Today. USA Today clearly has been combing through this stuff for a while now in preparation for this.
This dude could make it rain in a strip club or have paid for only fans and just jacking off over a phone call. Fucking loser
That is so hilariously bad that he did that to a rape survivor he brought to speak to his team about sexual assault. Jesus christ
