right, but that doesn't really matter to my point. Most zoomers are not adults. Thus, of course they don't like things most people only embrace once they graduate from college or enter adulthood.
I mean, they aren’t really studying 12 year olds and younger. Most research into Zoomers are 14-24 year olds, so most research is based on adults, by a significant margin. There’s a lot more 18-24 year olds than 14-17 year olds.
If Zoomers can bring Nebraska back then they’re my new favorite generation. Millennials have failed miserably
That article literally defines the exact (correctly) age range and mostly talks about early-mid thirties.
I’m prime millennial age and am a big dumb idiot like all these articles say. Had avocado with my breakfast this morning. Have spent tens of thousands of dollars on bachelor parties and vacations. Rent a house. I’ll never grow up and will keep living this fairytale life!
Is that all it takes to get in the fucking newspaper these days? To have a crotchety dad and a few moron relatives who refuse to grow up?
It’s almost like if you pick any generation you can find people who never learned how to cook, don’t know how to fix things, never bought a house, etc.
I’m basically going to have to wait for my parents to die before I can afford a house, using my half of the sale of their much bigger house. Or use that money to hopefully have enough to retire on.
the most exasperating thing about the learning how to cook thing is if you could test for it somehow I imagine we're in the peak of average american cooking ability post WWII 1940-1990 (can probably drag the end date even further tbh) was a barren wasteland of cuisine and industrialized food
Are you not a fan of jello molds and Mayo loaded casseroles? Spoiler I’m just picking the weirdest white people shit I can think of on this one.
Hey you married into a people who couldn't even manage to plan ahead to let the bread rise and so eat flat bread for 6000 years out of sheer stubbornness.
Don't forget frozen fishsticks, frozen salmon patties, Kraft mac and cheese, Spaghetti-Os, Hamburger Helper and chicken pot pies.
Y’all, I’m howling right now. That matza (matzoh?) is terrible stuff. But yea everything I’ve learned about pretty much every Jewish holiday is that they’re like: “these assholes tried to murder us all, so for thousands of years we’ve been doing this one weird thing just to spite those sons of bitches. Also let’s get drunk.”
There's so many GOOD flatbreads too! Greeks, Arabs, Turks, Ethiopians, Indians, fucking nailed it. Jewish people: it sucks but fuck you we're not changing shit
I still enjoy Kraft Mac and cheese (though I rarely eat it). Never had frozen salmon patties and have had Hamburger Helper fewer than five times.
I'm a better cook than my parents no question. They basically make the same 10-15 traditional Americana meals with the same traditional Americana ingredients.
I saw a post from a local food pantry the other day that basically said stop with the hamburger helper unless you’re going to also bring actual hamburger.
My wife used to do hamburger helper as a single mom. I’ve tried it and there’s no seasoning I can add to it to make it taste decent. Just an abysmal food.
What even is hamburger helper? Is it like noodles? Bread crumbs? I don’t understand what it is but I’ve seen people talk about it a lot.
My mom was a good cook and my dad basically never learned to make anything more than the most very basic meals. He couldn't even dedicate himself to learning a bit for more than a month or so once my mom started to get in such poor health where it was too much of a burden for her to keep cooking.
