I caught part of the Stearns interview. It sounds like Nelson is either going to come down with a phantom injury or at least be out of the rotation. He was saying some nonsense about how players need to perform but I didn't hear anything about Shaw and Aguilar.
At least when the Brewers are playing at home you can get distracted by the chick with the big rack sitting in the first row.
Yelich missed his 30th by an inch or less Guy is really good. Averaging something like a HR ever 5 at bats at home.
Nelson shouldn't have been brought back at all. He was short of the 5 years service time necessary to be able to turn down a minor league placement and he was struggling big time in his AAA starts. He complained about having to be there at all and we gave in to his complaints and are now stuck with him pitching mop up innings or forced to release him and eat his salary.
Shaw hitting a HR today was the worst thing possible. We are facing lefties the next two games and I was thinking that Hiura would be in the lineup but instead we will probably watch Perez go hitless while Shaw stays with the team. With the pitching being trash we need as many bats in the lineup as possible and Hiura needs to be here now.
Houser is starting Wednesday which I think may be a big mistake. It will take awhile to build up his arm strength and we will be losing our only good reliever besides Hader. With Jeffress looking terrible again today we just have nothing behind Hader in the pen.
Wednesday could very well be a bullpen game. Gio will be back in a week or two and then come back to the rotation.
If I remember that helped Braun for a few days at a time and that he had to repeat it a bunch more times. We should put Cain on the injured list and let him come back after the all star break. This is just another example of screwing up the management of this roster.
The problem is other than Woodruff the rest of the rotation is full of guys with below average stuff.
This is more than a bad streak. This pitching staff is not going to improve. The defense has taken a huge step back and the lineup has three good hitters.
This pitching coach needs to be fired now. Pretty much every guy on this staff has regressed and I blame him 100% for Corbin Burnes being so bad this season.
I feel really stupid that I was thinking a few weeks ago that we should extend Arcia. Now I can't wait to get rid of him.
Hiura hit his 19th AAA HR and 24th overall while Perez went hitless. Stearns is really handling this roster just fine.
IanC you should be excited that Perez is getting DFA'd for Saladino. I know you prefer Dubon but I know you don't like Perez.
We finally have a legitimate right handed bat in the lineup but the rotation is still quite terrible. I would like to give Freddy a spot in the rotation and let Houser be the main setup guy.
