Sorry IanC I know you were a fan of Dubon. I don't like what we got back in return but I don't think we will miss him one bit. As long as we don't trade anyone of significance I will be satisfied.
Dubon was never anything more than an alternative to the crappy options we were trotting out at the time
Brewers get: Jordan Lyles - Rental Drew Pomeranz - Rental Jacob Faria - 3.5 yrs control Ray Black - 5.5 yrs control Lose: Mauricio Dubon - 6.5 yrs control Jesus Aguilar - 3.5 yrs control Cody Ponce Marcos Diplan It's something
Grisham is getting called up. I guess this means that Braun will be playing some first base. It should be exciting to see Grisham play but maybe they should have kept him in AAA until next May or so to get an extra year of control.
Now with Aguilar gone the need for a right handed bat is even bigger. Hiura is great but besides him we just have Braun and Cain.
He shouldn't be pitching three days in a row but yes I am very much in favor of moving him next offseason if we can get a blockbuster package. Hader is great but this team needs a major influx of talent that our system seems incapable of doing for us.
Counsell always pulls him too early. With this pen I don't know why he insists on pulling his starters when they are pitching well.
This season is pretty much gone. My focus is on what Stearns is going to do this offseason and beyond because he has had a very disappointing year. This farm system needs big improvement and thats on Stearns; I think we need an overhaul of our scouting department which has not produced nearly enough for more than a decade.
This loss is on the bullpen but geez can this team ever get a hit with runners in scoring position. They had bases loaded and no one out and they only scored because of a wild pitch. I haven't seen the stats in a few weeks but I know we had the lowest average with runners in scoring position.
I am ready to just ride out the rest of this season with Burnes in the rotation. As bad as he has been I still think he can be outstanding. There is just no upside with the likes of Davies and Chacin.
I can think of very few voices I find more bothersome than Hadricort. Maybe it's not just his voice, but all the gomer shit that he says along with it.
I think it was when I listened to the podcast once I just couldn't get over how much I hated listening to him talk
Can't locate his slider so hitters are sitting on his fastball and killing it. Additionally, he was once elite because he was deceptive, and hitters have caught up to that. Never had anything that was unhittable. Speaking of unhittable, Brewers demoted Corbin Burnes to Double-A Biloxi
Milwaukee Brewers shake up scouting department with trio of firings 3 long-term members of the department who were let go, one pro scout and two amateur scouts Pro scouting crosschecker Ryan Thompson, regional supervisor Brian Sankey and area scout Dan Huston, sources tell The Athletic. Other changes possible. Sounds like Stern wants to make the scouting department smaller and more analytically approached
