BTW, Oklahoma has it right... Ukulele / Glockenspiel ad music is some of the best ad music. Ukulele / Glockenspiel / "Man whistling cheerfully" ad music is the ripe tits.
Christians and Mormons don't pound alcohol like the rest of you heathens do. There are still some dry counties in the southeast and only recently have a lot of places started to allow people to purchase alcohol on Sundays. The Lord doesn't approve of such activities on his day. Spoiler Apparently he's cool with abusing pills whenevs tho.
From my high level perspective (extremely scientific) looks as though lower temperatures could be a significant factor that leads to higher alcohol consumption
Bible Belt doesn't drink all that much, think bat shit crazy evangelical preacher + dry counties. Catholics in the midwest obviously up that for those states, which you can kind of see on the map.
Yeah but they're not all the same brand... It's like saying there's more hamburger joints than panda express and canton wok's combined
Where Duck Dynasty is popular. Purple most popular. Where "Modern Family" is popular. Purple most popular.
http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/...version=Full®ion=Marginalia&pgtype=article Maps for 50 more shows.
Winter is for drinking and fucking because that's about all you can do when it's cold and dark all the time.
im proud that lubbock is below average in duck dynasty viewership and above average modern family viewership for texas
“The Voice,” a singing competition, is most popular in North Dakota and least popular in New York. It was behind only “Duck Dynasty” and “Fast N’ Loud” in its correlation with Trump voters.
“The Big Bang Theory” is a comedy that follows the life of four socially awkward but brilliant young scientists at Caltech in Pasadena, Calif. The show is most popular in central Iowa — particularly Ames, home to Iowa State University — and University Park, Pa., the home of Penn State.
“NCIS” is a police procedural on CBS about a team of special agents from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service. Similar to “Criminal Minds,” another police procedural, it is most popular in rural areas. A Forbes article about Jared Kushner, Mr. Trump’s son-in-law, said that the Trump campaign may have specifically targeted “NCIS” viewers. It said data analysis “drove the scaled-back TV ad spending by identifying shows popular with specific voter blocs in specific regions — say, ‘NCIS’ for anti-Obamacare voters or ‘The Walking Dead’ for people worried about immigration.”
Are those gray counties (or states) unreported? I'm color blind but that color doesn't seem to match up on the key to me I have a better didea. How about people in your county stop breeding and rearing so many criminals and address the reasons why so many of your constituents have adopted such massive use of hard drugs like meth, cocaine and heroine? Those aren't gateway drugs and aren't ones a person would generally start abusing on a whim because they are bored.
no but it is a drug people start using because their bored. It isnt a desperation drug like heroine, meth and ironically crack cocaine
Nothing in this thread has ever given me the pride in Alabama that this map has. Thank you, fellow Alabamians. Thank you!
Most people just think of Indiana as boring, but it really is moving up the most awful state rankings.
If I lived just west of the Mississippi River in either Louisiana or Arkansas, I'd strongly consider moving to the east side based on that map.
