Not sure how many episodes in I am...5 maybe? But really enjoying this.
Really good show. Glad to see Anna Torv again after Fringe. The office being in the basement has to be an homage to the X-Files. Mulder was doing criminal profiling in the FBI before he did paranormal shit.
Finished S1 recently and am a big fan. The acting and directing were top notch and the subject matter is fascinating to me. My desire to punch the new detective in the face is at 10 out 10
I enjoyed this show as well
Through 4 episodes and it's well acted. Holden's surprised look to Bill 3-4 times a show always me laugh.
Douglas has written several books on his work. Def worth the read if you like the show
Are we just going to ignore how gorgeous Holden is
He’s gay guys. We all have a chance.
Should rename the show manhumper imo then
Scene in the prison hospital with Ed Kemper
That dude had some S-E-C speed out of that bed. Great performance by that actor.
I think the guy playing Ed Kemper should be notified at least in a guest role.
Fucking in the first episode. I like dis show
Led Zeppelin - In the Light being played during the final scene was legit. Hadnt heard that song in a while
3 episodes in. This show is awesome.
Big fan of this show. Kempers mustache is perfect.
Renewed for second season
Should post this in the serial killer thread on TMB. I'm not going to find it but it's out there
Finally finished this last week. Flew through the first six in October and then fell out of it with other shit going on. Happy I finally got to it. Good stuff, excited for season 2.
100% agree on this.
Led Zeppelin is my favorite and I love that song and then pair it with the urgency of that scene....WHEW BOY!!!!
Then I discovered that was the last episode of the season.
Lol this is a perfect summary of my criticism of the show.
It just, like, ends. Not much climax and feels like they just ran out of material.
Some season 2 info... http://www.indiewire.com/2018/04/mi...tors-david-fincher-andrew-dominik-1201954817/
8 episodes instead of 10, Fincher will direct first and last, will include the Atlanta child murders, aiming for early 2019 release.
By the way, the Atlanta Monster (about the Atlanta child murders) podcast just completed a few weeks ago. It was done by the same guy that did Up and Vanished, if you listened to that. Worthwhile listen if you want to get a good knowledge of that case(s) before all this is mentioned in S2.
Finally got around to watching this. Great show. I went to school for criminal sociology so this was right up my alley. I think the show messed with my head now. I was at the mall last Sunday. My four year old wanted to do the bungee trampoline. All I could think while the guy was strapping her in was about the nickel for a tickle principal.
I gotta wait another year? Wtf
The actor who played Kemper was in The Umbrella Academy. He was excellent.
damn thought this bump was for a season 2 premiere date.
Same here. Can’t wait for the next season.
Second season will be released sometime in August. No word on whether Cameron Britton reprises his role as Ed Kemper -- though, interestingly enough, Britton will play Richard Jewell (Atlanta's Olympic Park bombing) in the second season of Manhunt. Mindhunter, on the other hand, will apparently focus at least in part on Manson, Berkowitz, and the Atlanta child murders (Wayne Williams).
Sweet. Been waiting for the second season. One of my favorite shows on Netflix. Was also a big fan of manhunt.
What’s Manhunt? Yes, I’m too lazy to Google and would rather rely on a TMB review.
Manhunt is the real life story of how the murder of French National, Amelie Delagrange, on Twickenham Green in August 2004 was eventually linked to the murders of Marsha McDonnell in 2003 and the abduction and murder of Milly Dowler as she travelled home from school in 2002.
Walking home following a night out with friends, 22 years old Amelie was savagely attacked and struck several times on the back of the head with a hammer.
Although relatively experienced in murder investigation, DCI Sutton was assigned to the case by London’s Metropolitan Police.
Hard working and instinctive, Sutton dedicated himself to finding Amelie’s killer. With very little evidence, his painstaking approach and the diligence of his fellow officers gradually led to breakthroughs in the case.
Not that one.
This one: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5618256/.
Rather than give Manhunt a review, Virgil Caine , I'll just say that if you liked Mindhunter, you'll almost certainly like Manhunt. Extremely similar but different enough not to feel like a redux. Solid writing, acting, and production. It's a no-brainer recommendation for fans of Mindhunter. Highly doubt that you'll find a TMBer who liked one but not the other.
edit: Biggest difference between the two is that Mindhunter focused on the nascent field of forensic psychology, whereas Manhunt focused on the nascent field of forensic linguistics. Mindhunter was more stylistic and character-driven, whereas Manhunt was more technical and plot-driven.
Scratch that. The biggest difference between the two shows is that Manhunt doesn't have...
After watching mindhunter, I can not think of the nickle tickler every time I’m somewhere with my girls and there’s a middle aged man that helps with said activity. Like the guy that puts the straps on the kids and bounces them on the trampolines in the mall. That show has ruined those activities for me.
Started Manhunt last night and ended up binging through 5 of the 8 episodes. So yeah, I enjoy it.
Love that one. Also just read a book about Eric Rudolph. I was like 14 when all that happened. Man what a shit show that whole thing was.
Moar pics in this thread.
Who the fuck is that playing Manson, because holy fucking shit he is a deadringer
Damon Herriman aka Dewey fucking Crowe, who is somehow also playing young Manson in Tarantino's Hollywood movie
This took fucking forever but I'm super pumped for season2
Whoa! I knew he was playing him in the Tarantino movie, but didn’t know it was this too.
On Ep 3 and hooked
Actor playing Kemper is extraordinary
