Anyone betting playoffs? I pretty much stop baseball a few weeks after the ASB and pick back up in the playoffs. A lot easier to win in MLB when the games actually matter. Braves chalk is pretty high today but I think they're the right play. What do yall think about this game? Total?
I like the Braves today but dont really like the line so Im staying away. Im definitely taking the Giants for their series.
Rangers/O's: Saunders has an awful history in Arlington. I can't believe the O's are starting him. But, like the Rangers/A's game yesterday, this Baltimore club seems to be a team of destiny. And the Rangers are a lot like my Cubs in that they loathe success and find a way to lose. My head says Rangers are the play, but not sure I can pull the trigger.
Yu does really well against teams facing him for the first time. Someone with O's knowledge, how is their bullpen? Rangers will jump on Saunders like they jumped on Griffen in the last game. I watched the Rays-Os last game and O's offense is struggling. Playoffs = who's the hot team. Might parlay Braves/Rangers to try and get some decent odds
I like the Braves today. In lohse's last 6 outings, he's only had one game with less than 2 earned runs. The Cards are 3-3 in those starts. My only concern is their lineup is full of longball hitters, and Medlen's few mistakes have been home runs. But I like him on the mound and the motivation the Braves have with it being Chipper's last run.

More random info: Chipper was interviewed earlier today and he talked about how brutal the shadows are at Turner in the late afternoons. "Around 7:30 it will be back to normal" which the game would be near the end and best pitchers for each bullpen in the game. Leaning to UNDER 6.5 runs Baltimore vs Texas The Rangers won the season series, 5-2. The Rangers have won 10 of the last 12 meetings. Texas scored at least 10 runs three times against the O's this season and the Orioles are mired in a 1-5 slide in Arlington. Joe Saunders 3-7 with a 6.48 ERA in 11 career starts against Texas, including 0-6 with a 9.38 ERA in six previous starts at Rangers Ballpark. Darvish, who is 4-0 with a 1.46 ERA in his last five starts, has limited opponents to a .139 average with a .180 slugging percentage during that span. The crafty right-hander has not allowed a home run over his last 43 innings.....and, Baltimore is the only American League team Darvish did not face in the regular season
Atlanta is 5-1 this year against St. Louis, Atlanta has won 23 straight starts under Medlen including 12-0 this year. Both teams are 7-3 in the last 10. Since August, St. Louis is 6-5 when Lohse is starting and in the month of September, Lohse has a 3.89 ERA compared to Medlen has a 1.26 ERA Medlen has come in relief 3 times against St. Louis this year, pitching 5.2 IP 6H 3ER 0BB & 4K Taking Atlanta Braves -170 (3 Units) & Over 6.5 -125
just saw this posted on another site Today, 02:15 PM gwrinos213 Registered User Join Date: Mar 2012 Posts: 46 atl under umpire play kellogg behind plate 23-9 unders this year i got it at under 7 -130 maybe look at under 1st 5 with the sun playing a factor
So glad i bought the .5 with the under. Would have been furious to push after only 3 runs until the 9th inning meltdown
Yea I never do the first 5 innings bets. I guarantee you that I'm all over the Tigers with Verlander in game 5. I think I saw where it opened at Tigers -140
Makes me feel better about my bet since he's on Cincy. Got them -125 and 1st5 Cardinals -110 parlayed
when G-men were down 2-0 in the series, I bet 2 bucks on them to come back and win the series. hopefully they pull this off, 20 bucks for me to win.
have been wrong with my gut everytime I've bet in the playoffs so far. so going against it tonight Giants +151 Giants +1.5 -125 Under 6.5 -120 Don't like that under that much because of everything I've read with Gerry Davis being the ump tonight. But hell the Tigers bats were non-existent in the ALCS and Verlander shut down a hot OAK team and a great NYY lineup
Only bet i took based on any kind of reasoning lost. just gonna fade the gut from here on out I guess
Going SF and Under again tonight. neither are my original thought, as that proves to be a loser more times than not in baseball these days
definitely factored that and Fister not having a great year into why I loved the over. so obvious play is the opposite
